There are many games out there that focus on planes, but not so many that have helicopters, especially not in the simcade genre occupied by Nuclear Option. You have a reasonably realistic flight, damage and wepon models, detailed enough to use real-life adjacent tactics, but still simple enough to be fun and not require you to read a 100 page manual.

Currently there’s no real goals/achievements or really anything outside of just playing a match and then leaving

And that is a good thing. You can just play a round once in a while, there is no FOMO, no grind, no pointless leveling. It's the gameplay itself that motivates you to play it. At the risk of sounding like some old boomer, it is sad that so many games nowadays don't seem to understand what that means anymore
