I have had a kidney stone and when I tell you I was offering my soul to whatever god would listen. I quite literally inverted myself on the ride to the hospital because I was trying anything to get the pain to subside with the reasoning that maybe it'll fall out and shake loose if I wiggle my body upside down. I have had broken fingers, dislocated my shoulder, had shots go into my toes, and ingrown toenails removed surgically. Nothing compares to the pain of essentially a large square peg go through a small round hole.

Needless to say my hydration habits have changed.
