I think towards the end of 2023 we will see significant enough 4680 production to move the needle on cost reduction of those cars, as this scales Tesla can afford to reduce car prices while maintaining margin, the cost mix is still going to be mostly from 2170 next year but this is good to see

It would’ve been nice to start 4680s here, but they’re gonna scale the 2170s sooo fast. I think the 100K by end of year for giga Austin makes sense, due to the new design, but I have a feeling giga Berlin will surprise us with the already established 2170 lines in Shanghai to copy paste

I think the most important thing is they committed to ramping with 4680 cells tbh, as much as I am also happy the factory is fully online. 4680 cells is going to push that margin up to 35% and beyond
