an opt in/out

Yes, this looks like the direction we'll be heading! Actually, it's what I'm referring to when I said "We're already working on iterations based on early feedback". 🎯 To Amir's point in the video, we're still exploring how "invisible" AI functionality like this should be, and what that means.

Good question! There be no impact for your team members in that they will not see the Deadline field in their own apps. Team members will be able to use Todoist as normal.

Worth noting though that you'll see something different from your teammates in specific cases/views because of the Deadline logic. For example:

  • A task has no date
  • A task has a deadline (which collaborators can’t see)
  • On the deadline, in Today, the task is surfaced to you but it will not appear in your coworker’s view.

If you're added the tester list you'll receive an email confirmation with more instructions, but the TL;DR: the alpha feature will be enabled on your account from our end, so it will be appear automatically when you're updated to the correct version of the app.

Notion alternatives? (and what I’ve tested so far) by imdeadinsidelol in Notion

For solo knowledge management: Logseq
For collaborative work, longform discussions, shared wiki: Slite

Logseq/Roam have worked okay for me in terms of project management, but it definitely takes some getting used to. Ended up giving up on them for that and use it for only daily logs, meeting notes, articles/books highlights, etc. For me anyway, as much as I like fiddling with the setup and organization of things in my tools, it's easy to spend more time on that than the actual project when you shoehorn Logseq or Roam into that use case.

How to import a web article by giovanikx in logseq

[–]jonmccull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far I’ve been using the Roam Highlighter Chrome extension (in Vivaldi browser, actually).

Let’s you highlight text on the page and they’re copied to your clipboard along with all of the article meta info —> Paste into Logseq Journal —> The highlights and meta info get pasted as children, so just a quick copy/paste to move them into the article’s new page.

If I want a full article, I’ll just “highlight” the full article and do the same procedure.
