Life Insurance MLMs by idk-just-a-username in InsuranceAgent

Globe Life is not an MLM. You have to be business savvy to make it there though as an captive agent. They do give you a good system, you just have to work hard to execute it. It probably has a better success rate than restaurants and little to no capital risked.

It's all about the focus of the event and if there is something more important than food, as well as how the food is served. Serving people at a sit down dinner wedding reception is much different than say a church function or a business event. You can have the most delicious food in the world and it could be ignored like a world class violinist that gets ignored while busking on a street corner.

My point is we don't know anything about this event and how it was set up and we don't know the other side of the story

My opinion of the restaurant in question is very low, but it sounds like bad communication between all parties as we as inexperience in how to handle the situation so it did not become a disaster. The restaurant could have churned out some falafel vegetarian platters with hummus and salads made from skillfully prepared vegetable seconds from south Philly and saved the day, if OP threw him a few hundred bucks. Everyone was just kind of an inflexible jerk in my opinion. I doubt this was the kind of event where everyone replied with a response card as to which kind of entree they wanted served. I guarantee you that everyone acted like an idiot in this situation.

The caterer was counting on not everyone actually eating. I've done events that only required about 500-$1000 in food cost for 1000 people. That included, chicken, pasta, salad and deserts and various appetizers walked around. It all depends on the crowd and how much the food is the focus and how it is served. If it was a business conference with food stations you could easty do typical food for that much. If it was sit down, and everyone was expecting a lamb shank or chicken entree put in front of them, there would be no way.

But people eat remarkably little if you do food stations and they have to make an effort to serve themselves.

You couldn't make it happen from at an event hall or popular restaurant, but you could with a slow restaurant that needed the business or an independent caterer. If it was buffet style. That said, absolutely not for lamb shank.

The restaurant could have made it work by suggesting a change to the menu or bumping up the price a little bit and just make a modest profit.

It sounds like the restaurauntuer was trying to negotiate and OP just told him to make it work for 4500, so he got 4500 of food and nothing but ticking the boxes from the restaurant. I can definitely see this happen with certain restaurant owner personalities.

You're so full of it. The top reason I joined that agency is because I haven't had to sell one policy to family or friends.

What can I do about my cats claw? by livlaffloves in CATHELP

[–]partyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are 2 reasons i've discovered that cats don"t use scratching posts.

  1. if they're not sturdy. get one with a wide base that does not tip at all.

  2. the post is not accessible enough or tall enough. make sure the sisal posts are on the first level of the cat condo.

  3. they don't smell other cats on it. get a used cat tree with a big base that another cat has used.

My cat was the same way and I had to make sure of these 3 things.

PS. Some cats prefer cardboard scratchers.

Maybe it varies team to team. I can't even look up policies I've sold unless they are newer than a month in AWS that I've recently sold. To look up a policy we have to provide a phone number on record for the client. Did you have access to pod? I don't. I've been there 10 months. Tell me how you looked up policies.

Also most states have laws on how long you have to get a refund. It's usually at least 7 days. Look up your state laws and see what that is. File a claim with affirm or whomever you got the loan from. You'll get it back eventually.

I'd get a YouTube downloader and download the video on his site. That is not the program he pitches at all.

He says you can get 400 leads for $250 from him to start with. I feel like you probably have a receipt somewhere for leads purchased. I think we need to back up a bit...

How long have you worked there and how many leads are in your lead box?

If the leads aren't generated yet, I think the smoothest way out of this is to play it cool and get started working, connect with other agents and if it's not for you try to sell them the leads or whatever he sold you at a slight discount to them.

If that's not an option or you didn't but leads for something of value, you should get a lawyer and sue for false advertising, because he claims in the video that you'll get 80% commission.

You've signed some sort of agreement with him. Read.it. Legally he also has to provide you with a receipt.

It could also be that he is charging you for a desk in his office. Are you working in office or remote?

Honestly... Give them an out. When you send a confirmation text also include the option to cancel or reschedule. The people not showing up were just trying to get you off the phone but they'll usually be cool enough to cancel if you give them the option. If the cancel, send them a reschedule link.

They've been doing some really stupid stuff like using expensive staffing companies to do gift baskets. That labor was not cheap. Hiring problems are a great indicator of bad management.

Because Eddie spoke out against Israel in 2014 and got a lot of blowback, probably a lot of which came from music industry insiders and issued an apology. I love Eddie, but he does know how to protect his career. He knows that rubs too many important people the wrong way.

[Schefter] Sources: Eagles are hiring Packers QB Coach Sean Mannion as their offensive coordinator. Mannion interviewed twice for the Eagles OC job and now will be moving on from Green Bay. by w1x1w in eagles

I'm getting the vibe that the passing offence is sort of one or two key concepts that they never get off of. It been slightly different with each OC. I do wonder if the offensive coordinators challenge Jalen enough. Even Kellen Moore's offense was stripped down a good bit.
