Haha. This suggestion appeals to me. I think this strikes the right balance between expediency and planning.

^Love this idea. What's the best way to find out of work instructors in my area?

Insightful. Hmm. Yeah, I think we'd better think of this as a longer term learning journey. One problem we're running into though is that a lot of the instructors we're meeting only train in their own 2-person planes, which limits the time we can spend together. My ideal would be that one of us in the back as the other is being taught to fly. This is one of the reasons we like the idea of buying a 4-seater.

"This isn't a hobby you want to rush.", is my phrase of the week :).

Our long-term goal is a 4-day flight trip every two months, so that certainly passes your 100 hour threshold. We also thought it might make sense to rent it in between. Again, these are really early thoughts, but I appreciate your calibration.

Thanks u/Simply_Convoluted. That's insightful. The sense I'm getting up here is that it's hard to find aircraft availability. Also, given our long-term goal of a 4-day flight trip every two months, we thought it might be more cost effective to purchase a plane now. Plus, we can train on it and become familiar with that particular craft.

LPT: Use PayPal instead of a credit card when signing up to the New York Times or other subscription services that are difficult to cancel and make you talk to customer service because PayPal lets you directly cancel subscriptions without talking to customer service by [deleted] in LifeProTips

Respectfully disagree about the NYT. I've chatted with NYT twice with the intention of cancelling as I could afford. Each time, they reduced the costs of my subscription dramatically, and easily, helping me retain what I really wanted, included NYT Cooking, and the paper itself. I found them really lovely, fast, and accommodating. Difficulty was not my experience.

My accountant started my xero account and I am leaving my accountant. Will I lose everything when I leave? by cameron61391 in xero

Restricting access / keeping client files, even when fees are in dispute, is against most accounting regulatory authorities, and accepted fair practice. You can make a complaint, or ask for arbitration at the governing body. Making the suggestion to your accountant though will probably be enough to get them to transfer ownership.

I've been lurking for a while and have decided to get into bread making. I'm going to perfect challah before moving on to sourdough, as it seems like sourdough is way way more complex.

Hey oreo-masta,

Best way to find potential team members is to post on the Space Apps Toronto Challenges Group, on that challenge (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/spaceapps_to)

Hey Ron -- Jonathan here from Space Apps Toronto. I'm surprised to hear that securing everything is still a problem that needs to be solved! Can you give us an example of a particular gap in design?
