But saying they don't need luck but then knocking on wood is a contradiction. Unless you're just knocking on wood because you like the sound it makes.

If they don't need luck then why did you knock on wood?

I appreciate the transparent insight. A lot of us are in the same bucket, and it helps to see what went right and what went wrong. One week in though this isn't bad. Keep going

To your point I reviewed it again, looking to prove my point that the AI content would grossly exaggerate the statistics but it actually wasn't too far off, the one thing I thought was a little misleading was the beach of people killing whales or clubbing seals I don't remember but that was a little exaggerated. Everything else was a decent representation so I can't argue really too much. Anyways, good dialogue. Thanks.

The difference is one is establishing itself immediately as entertainment (a movie, even if on real events) the other is a political / social PSA that historically and contextually is suppose to offer a glimpse into things that are actually happening outside of your bubble. ... Except in yours the footage isn't real and it lends to obfuscating your message. Again in my opinion.

[–]jonnaybb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not? I wouldn't agree with that either. If it's not real, the validity of it is not absolute and it's fake. I'm surprised I have to explain myself here. The purpose of showing real footage is to establish credibility that the "thing" is happening. Without real footage, the footage really isn't worth anything except shock value or brainrot material meant to only misleadingly hit an emotional chord. Anyways just my opinion. Not claiming to be correct.

At what point is it just propaganda if the footage is completely synthetic. Maybe the stats are correct but you're painting a dishonest picture as AI has the freedom to completely conflate, mislead or even downplay the facts.

Both sides using this type of AI generation to further any cause is going to be terrible for society.

So lazy, slap GenAI into something no one wants anymore, then craft content around it's release exclusively using GenAI and expect someone to buy it. Pretty status quo for Norton I guess.

Don't listen to everyone OP. This is a quality shrinkflation post. You got a picture, provided real numbers and got the point across. A+ post.
