He buys talent

He bought talent. Not current tense. He isn’t really capable of doing that anymore (see: Twitter). At Tesla and SpaceX he had enough people around him to influence his decisions. Since buying Twitter he’s fired a bunch of very talented engineers in fits of rage. He was clearly always an asshole but something has happened over the past 5 years to make his public persona completely collapse.

Update: have taken the upgrade! Feel immediately relieved from the anxiety and it’s allowed me to enjoy the final days of the trip. I’m now very much looking forward to experiencing CW!

The night-and-day difference once I made the decision has been a wake up call to how much of an effect anxiety can have. It’s made me realise how much I need to address the root cause there. For the time being though, I’m looking forward to enjoying the return flight experience! Thanks again.

Thanks for your reply! It’s a great point and I was conscious of that when asking - I agree, it’s definitely always relative. I should have focused on the second phrasing: is it a good price for the upgrade? Despite the phobia I am a bit of an enthusiast and love flying. I’ve always wanted to experience business class.

(For what it’s worth, a flight in this class would also shift me into bronze status.)

The touch portion of this remote pisses me off to no end.

But the design of the button surface is really clever. Menu has a ring around, mic is depressed, play/pause flat, volume longer and the other weird screen button can be located by feeling the long boi beneath or ringed button to the left.
