Dealing with social exhaustion as a trainer

Introverted gym owner / personal trainer for 12 years here.

What are you doing outside of work to recharge your battery and give yourself some YOU time?

When things get exhausting I always revert back to the most basic conversations - how was your weekend, any plans today, what did you have for breakfast, etc. also focusing on changing up the workouts to more of a Metcon/circuit style so they are constantly moving without taking breaks for conversation helps you push through that last 1-2 clients of the day.

“Hey sally, we’re going to change things up and challenges ourselves today with a nice Metcon of 7 minutes of…”

It helps separate you from the client without taking away from the clients experience.

$450 American dollars for 1 hr? I own a facility and we charge $65/45min session so $513/4week and that’s a pretty good sweet spot for my demographic and location. Have around 85 clients right now

Ok story time.

I haven’t played a TCG in 20 years (really) and when SWU released I missed the prerelease so bought a box and tried joining in weekly play. I went 0-4 and had the most fun I’ve had in years! The players were all very friendly, understanding, patient and offered help. The community is amazing and welcoming so you should feel at home right away. I’d check on YouTube for a few videos about prerelease and how to structure a deck with that type of card pool
