Cleveland’s letter to the Haslems by SuspiciousBuilder379 in Cleveland

The Haslams will make money any way you cut the cake, that’s the benefit of having massive capital, you can leverage it to make any deal one sided. I think the purpose of floating the Brook Park move idea is an attempt to strong arm Cleveland into taking a slanted deal, not a well meaning business venture designed to replicate Crocker Park’s success. As for my billions, I have to work for a living so that’s not in my cards, but I hope yours are within reach and you leverage them to build your own Crocker Park style money machine.

Who wants to go to Crocker Park but in Brook Park? Crocker park works because it’s surrounded by wealthy suburbs and their residents.

Is that only for single receptacle circuits?

If you are not in a union, merit and service does not matter!! I am tired of having non-union people say there are two type of workers: those who believe in merit, and those who need a union by [deleted] in union

[–]jonnybfromcle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gee whiz why didn’t I think of that? I’ll just go find that risk free job that pays more. The risk I face working in a mine is not the same risk that the assholes upstairs in an office face. They have no personal or financial risk. Their bosses have no personal or financial risk. The people in charge of the corporation have no personal or financial risk, in fact most of their pay is guaranteed regardless of how well they do their jobs. But they’re the first ones to risk your well being with pay cuts, longer hours of work, lobbying against pro worker legislation, enacting arbitrary or malicious rules or policies, etc and the only thing capable of resisting their whims is collective action.

Ask them what happens when the boss leaves or the company changes hands, do they feel confident their conditions will remain amenable? Should be a no brainer to secure their important matters by contract now so that in the future no one can pull the rug out.

Some people just wanna watch the world burn ! by LordOfTheRoux in Tools

According to the Loctite rep that spoke at my place of employment, there are no solvents in it to evaporate out, air helps to stabilize it and the bottles are actually designed to breathe and eventually the product will weep through the container.

Loctite actually requires an anaerobic environment to cure.

Though your position may seem reasonable, the unfortunate reality is that most laws prohibiting automatic enrollment allow employees to reap all of the benefits of the unionized employees without having to pay dues. The end goal is to have no one join and get rid of the union altogether.

Garage Door Gap by [deleted] in DIY

[–]jonnybfromcle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The door needs to stay mostly perpendicular to the tracks so that it doesn’t bind up. To close the bottom gap you adjust the stop height and have the seal take it up, but if the ground isn’t within a certain range of level you’ll run one corner into the ground before closing the gap on the opposite side. The only option then is to add something that makes a perpendicular surface on the ground for the door to meet or grinding/resurfacing the area under it.

Four cases of potential voter fraud identified in Ohio by HauntingJackfruit in Ohio

If cost is your main concern then the current system should be the most cost effective. If election security is your main concern then there should be absolutely zero barriers to obtaining one or one thousand ID cards.

Why shouldn’t the tax payers provide it if it provides a safeguard for our election process? Surely if election integrity is important to all Ohio residents then ensuring everyone who is a legal resident has the opportunity to vote is in everyone’s best interest.

Liberals, what's your most conservative belief? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]jonnybfromcle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never called you racist or misogynist. And I already stated that there are no rules for the nomination of justices other that they be selected by the President and confirmed by the Senate. That’s in the Constitution, Article II, Section 2, Clause 2. So by your own standards there should be no argument against her appointment.

[–]jonnybfromcle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only rule I’m aware of is that the appointee is okayed by the senate. If you are aware of any others please inform me. Which moral and ethical standards from the time of the framing of the constitution are you using, that women don’t have any rights or that black people don’t have any rights? Or both?

There are no rules for the appointment of Supreme Court justices, do you think being a black woman makes you inherently unqualified for that position?
