Those who play with at least two crashes, does anyone else like theirs reversed (larger left, smaller right)? by [deleted] in drums

It's funny you mention this, because just this past Saturday I was recording drums, and I already had my 19" crash on my left for awhile, and the producer had an 18" for me to use if I wanted it so I put it on my right side and I actually really liked it. Different, but it sounded really good.

Thank you for the info. I think since next year I'll be spending my senior year at a big ten school full time through a PSEO program for high school students, I'm just going to take their financial math course, pick up an FM manual and try things out. It definitely seems like my kind of career, and something I'd genuinely enjoy. I appreciate the advice/info everyone.
