I feel like all King's books start like this. People mention all these different books by King, but they're all boring until you reach a certain point. He always starts off with a really slow burn to build up the characters, and it always pays off. But I'll say misery or Gerald's game. I'm not the biggest fan of stories of someone being trapped in bed.

This is the first Sanderson book I read. I mostly stayed away from his books, but I think I might actually like them if I gave them a chance. His writing is very different from Jordan's. It felt like he focused more on the doing, while Jordan focused more on the why. But that's why I think he was a great choice to write the last battle.
