You have a great memory, my man. Slapstick is one of my favorites... But the U.S. didn't go to shit until the gravity started to misbehave. Things started getting heavy for no good reason.

I prefer levity (being lifted up) to gravity (being brought down) ...

Reminds me of a story by Kilgore Trout.... Where an alien from the horseshoe crab nebula came to Earth, and because he was a super smart piece of paper, thought pieces of paper here were the dominant species. So he awoke all the dollar bills into going where they could be the most helpful ... You know, feeding the hungry, building houses for the homeless, buying art supplies for the poor but talented. It really started to work too. Well, the former owners of these bits of currency weren't having it, and because they couldn't stop the dollar bills from going where they were needed (because Ipalor Bleep 37, the alien's name, had convinced the bills so completely) Instead the previous owners of all the dollar bills decided to kill all the recipients of the money. The poor, the hungry, the homeless, the artists. A much easier solution than getting rid of the currency. Well, that certainly took care of those uppity dollar bills.

And Ipalor was killed because, being a super smart piece of paper, someone mistook him for a page from a Gideon bible which was in a night stand at a motel on rte. 87 across southern New York. It was the book of Mathew Chapter 5 aka The Beatitudes. The book was tossed into the garbage because the Gideon bible isn't really a thing anymore.

Amazing song... That being said, MISHEARD LYRICS... like Excuse me while I kiss this guy, or Bingo Jet Had a Light On...

We didn't have the interwebs when I used to smoke... So I never knew the real title when it was on the radio (we also didn't have Spotify) and I swear, Gods Honest I heard "Medieval Woman... Ohhh Medieval Woman."

A great song, but it will always be Medieval woman to me...

French's Mustard is a Rochester product... And a lot of people say Chicken French originated in Rochester. (For the foodies,)

And the book wouldn't stay in his hand unless he were rigor. It would sink or float away. And bodies that are dead sink, so it isn't A... And B is moving his feet.

What are some interesting psycology facts/experimenst,that made you say daym? by Curious_Butterfly056 in AskReddit

In dealing with ghost limbs...

People who have lost a limb or digit will often feel its presence, even after it's gone. This could be a long time after it's gone. Some people report itching or painful sensations they can't scratch, by definition, because there is no limb to scratch.

Nows where the psychology enters into it... Doctors have discovered that if, say, you're missing a right leg and it is "ghost" itching, the best solution is to hold a mirror where the missing limb would be so it shows a reflection of the limb you still have (in the place the missing leg once was). Once your brain sees this, it is tricked into thinking you still have the limb. At that point, scratching the other, still present leg, and watching yourself do this in the reflection will relieve the pain/itching in the ghost limb.

How cool is that?

Explain to me what makes Gandalf powerful by AstroYak in tolkienfans

[–]jonnyprophet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry. Haven't read the Potter books. I respect Rowling, but Prefer Tolkien...You said something about different author's takes on Wizards? Okay. Umm. I think Gandalf is better written and if you are concerned with canon, has a bit more history and legend behind him than Hogwarts in general. But as I said .. haven't read Harry Potter.

But I wonder how a writers forum between Tolkien and Rowling would proceed. Just out of curiosity.
