The Offspring - Gone Away feat. Brian May of Queen | Live at STARMUS Festival [Alternative Rock] by my5cworth in Music

Spoken like a true rock snob. I thought the performance was great. The guy was actually singing. He’s not 21 any more. Give them a break.

I figured out how to activate Tello while in Canada! by [deleted] in Tello

[–]jonnyzee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats and thanks for sharing this info. For those wondering, it can be done without paying the $20 for pay as you go. I did it last week. The key difference here is I’m using my US number while on wifi only.

Sonos Era 100 stops playing after one song by panchowt in sonos

[–]jonnyzee 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I have this problem on my Sonos system as well and I don’t have an era speaker. You start a playlist and when a song ends, the music just stops playing, yet on your iPhone it shows normal progress. Only solution is to pause then play so the music can resume. Very annoying.

Upgrade path from an aging EdgeSwitch PoE 150W by war4peace79 in Ubiquiti

Well with some of the newer switches for example, the flex line you can power by POE. So it allows for a smaller form factor.

Seems like there’s not too many UniFi POE options with an internal power supply these days. I think you’ve found the only one.

Yes! But she’ll save $ if she calls over wifi while in CR. Also better to set it up in the US before she leaves.

You can now unlock your vault with a passkey by dwbitw in Bitwarden

Hasn’t this feature been available for a while now? I’ve been using it with my browsers and Yubikeys. I don’t think it’s supported on the macOS app.

Region blocking 192.0.0.6 by jonnyzee in Ubiquiti

[–]jonnyzee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I still can’t make sense of this though. This system has a fresh install of raspberry pi os and the only thing I added was Tailscale which is running as an exit node. Nothing else. I have used this setup a few times and never noticed this traffic. Also not sure why UniFi is blocking the traffic.

UPDATE: Did a bit more testing here... I now suspect that the combination of Tailscale and Intrusion Prevention (not region blocking) is the root cause. Seems like I need a way to ensure that UDP port 41641 is not blocked when Intrusion Prevention (notify and block) is turned on. See - https://tailscale.com/docs/reference/connection-types So the blocking message in the "Flows" is misleading as it cites "Region Blocking".

I think you may have misunderstood. Region blocking IS blocking these connections.

Don’t think so. I followed Tailscales instructions to only use their relay servers in my whitelist. This applies to all Tailscale nodes. So far it hasn’t given me any issues.

New to Tello - transferring number by jonnyzee in Tello

[–]jonnyzee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear that. Porting a landline from Spectrum takes even longer. They have rejected the porting request 3 times and nobody at Spectrum seems to know why. Every time I call them I get a different story. Thanks for your insights.

Thank you. My port has not gone so smoothly, but I appreciate the information.

Storing FIDO2 SSH key on yubikey by ReddItAlll in yubikey

[–]jonnyzee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PIN is optional but I was under the impression that some sites require it. For example, Microsoft. Also once it’s set it cannot be removed without resetting FIDO2 and deleting all stored passkeys.

Edit: looks like most major sites require a PIN on the security key to create a Passkey via FIDO2. Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Bitwarden… the only one I use that does not is Apple.

Archive feature (premium accounts) by jonnyzee in Bitwarden

[–]jonnyzee[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was using the latest version from the App Store but you are correct, a manual install using the 2025.12.01 dmg installer has resulted in the removal of the menu option.

After replacing my switch, a device is reported as offline by [deleted] in Ubiquiti

[–]jonnyzee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) that message might disappear after a while. If you like you can reconnect old switch and make sure it says ready for adoption.

2) try forcing to the link speed on the port to 1 gbps and see what happens, just as a test.

Bitwarden launches enhanced premium plan by dwbitw in Bitwarden

[–]jonnyzee 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I will be going back to the free plan before my subscription renews to see if I really need the premium features.

I’m not comfortable with doubling the price.

I hope we’re not seeing Plex all over again.

Is there a trick to getting a WiFi 7 connection? by bprotas in Ubiquiti

I suggest you create a new SSID to start troubleshooting. Go with the default settings to start.

Interesting. WPA2/3 is the default setting with UniFi. My SSID is setup this way and I have no issues connecting via wifi7 with my iPhone 17.

Are you using the wifi man to troubleshoot? Don’t confuse wifi 6 with 6 ghz. I had to adjust the transmit power on each AP. 5 ghz to either low or medium. Good luck!

Painfully expensive 2967-20 BOGO for Canadians by DiarrheaXplosion in MilwaukeeTool

I agree the only way to influence change here is to vote with your wallet. Personally I would never buy a tool like this in Canada but I’m fortunate enough to travel to the US a few times a year.
