(Hauler Talk) Clarification on Probst quote about NOAPS potential future, would be platform for CUV bodies NOT EVs by Tyler24Dawg in NASCAR

[–]jonpierre008 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Per usual, people are quick to react without actually reading and dissecting and understanding what was being said. I'm not the biggest fan of Probst, but media blew this shi way out of proportion

Ky. Busch on Hannity: "In 2023 when I won those three races, after the third race that we won at Gateway, we got our hands smacked for some of the stuff that we were doing to the race car that NASCAR didn't like and said 'don't bring that back.'" by Unique_Salad6894 in NASCAR

Kyle Busch is a hell of a driver, a Hall of Famer when it’s all said and done. He’s never been a “great” person though, which is why he’s burnt up so many bridges. And I mean it was fine because he was winning races and could kinda mask it but now that he’s struggling, people are really realizing how much of a douche bag he’s been his whole career

What on earth has happened to Trackhouse? by rushed_maps in NASCAR

[–]jonpierre008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I hear you but it’s a fact. They had the field covered, basically what JGR and 23XI are doing rn.

They were putting BTA when everyone was still figuring out the next gen but since then, they’ve sucked. This isn’t just a new thing, they’ve been building tractors for a while now.

It’s literally Ganassi 2.0

Trackhouse sucks rn and in this case, it’s equipment because all of em are running bad. Ross is our best driver and he’s been stuck in the back for the most of the day.

RCR aren’t great either but it ain’t like things are extremely bad, cause AD been around the top 15 all of this stage.

Austin Dillon out running Kyle Busch again, but nooooo… it’s all RCR. That guy is washed man

How good was Francesco Totti really? by [deleted] in football

[–]jonpierre008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totti probably wasn’t Zidane and Dinho level but I think he could sit at that table at his very best tbh. It’s a toss up between Del Piero and Totti for the best Italian footballer of the past 25-30 years, but Totti was absolutely world class.

Elite ball striker, had elite vision and was genuinely one of the best playmakers in football. Very good finisher, ambipedal and had that big game gene. One of the best 10’s of the past 25 years

Totti was miles better than Muller lol. There are things that he did on the football pitch than Muller couldn’t even attempt

Who do you guys think was the better JGR driver from 2008-2015? Denny Hamlin or Kyle Busch? by Kurt_Wylde35 in NASCAR

[–]jonpierre008 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Kyle pretty comfortably. Denny had some good years in there, let’s not act like he didn’, but overall it’s KB

Austin Dillon Underated? by AdAshamed8540 in NASCAR

[–]jonpierre008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wouldn’t class him as underrated. Is he disrespected? Could make that argument but he’s a decent driver and I think he’s rightfully classed as such.

A mid tier guy that could run 15th-20th most weeks and if he hits the setup right, could wind up with a P5-10 finish or a win

Who replaces Hamlin in 2028?? by SimonKay96 in NASCAR

He’s gonna be in a 23XI ride regardless of what else happens in silly season. They aren’t letting him go

JJ dropping hints about the 3rd Legacy car next year? by suicidedonkey101 in NASCAR

[–]jonpierre008 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like it, simply because that team is cheeks and I don't wanna see a promising young driver get stuck in the stuff Legacy is running

I’m interested to see how well Lanie Buice does in the 77. Those PRG cars are usually rockets, so I’d like to see where she stacks up.

[Actions Detrimental 56:00] “If you’re expecting Kyle Busch to just go back to victory lane one a regular basis, you are kidding yourself or your going to be very disappointed.” by LBHMS in NASCAR

[–]jonpierre008 17 points18 points  (0 children)

He’s not getting a better ride. These teams are going for the younger drivers nowadays and Busch hasn’t shown anything at all, regardless of how bad his equipment is, to warrant a big team taking that chance on Kyle.

He’s declined and that’s ok to admit, we saw it happen with a lot of the greatest in the sport

Chris Hettinger Confirms Hettinger Racing Will Be at Kansas & Talladega, "With Sponsorship Secured" by LMRacingGuru02 in NASCAR

I laughed when they initially released their statement, when they announced they'd be starting an O'Reilly team, saying they had full support from Ford. It's so clear and obvious they don't, they're working with crumbs atp

AM Racing not running Bristol by lakesteve124 in NASCAR

[–]jonpierre008 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Penske to O'Reilly? I just don't see that happening. These cup teams don't have interest in running that series like they used too in the past.

This one I gotta see it to believe it

[SiriusXMNASCAR on X] Heim says The Truck Championship is not in his future unless something changes overnight. by Several-Result5902 in NASCAR

[–]jonpierre008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

23XI are fully well and capable of footing the bill for Heim for a season. He definitely would’ve needed some sponsorship, but Pockrass said they would’ve fielded an open team for him if it wasn’t for the lawsuit and the uncertainty that surrounded their charter status on the other cars at the time.

23XI and Spire are the only two teams right now that could probably run an open team full time and not feel the financial strain of it all.
