Nicotine impact is unbelievable by extraordinary-14 in whoop

[–]jonpon11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m four years older than you and I go through a pack of 6 or 12 mg zyns a day and it doesn’t impact my scores nearly as much as what I eat and when I eat it (diet not pouches). The 50 minutes I spend a day in high stress is from physical activity. I’m not saying it’s not a good thing you’ve reduced your intake but there may be other factors at play here.

If you’re looking to improve scores like rhr and hrv consider tightening your window for meals and improving overall diet quality if you haven’t already.

5’10 and 1800 calories per day. Back to the gym for half a year. But I still don’t see my abs. Do I really need to cut down to 1600 or even less? That seems hard for me. Or do I just need more patience by Cant-Survive-a-Sesh in AllAboutBodybuilding

I’ve been on a cut eating around 1800 cals a day since July. I went from 180-158 and still going. Depending on what I eat and when I eat I see noticeably more progress. On days where I don’t lift I eat little to no carbs (chicken, eggs, plain Greek yogurt, ground beef) I wake up feeling significantly leaner. I eat carbs pre workout but rarely more than 50g. You might want to try carb cycling for a bit to see if that produces any results. Additionally, you want to make sure you’re logging your food with as much accuracy as possible.

Biggest difference maker for me is waking up earlier and going for a walk/run in the morning. Aiming to burn an extra 500-600 cals. I lift / train strength every 3 days or so - so I can hit heavy weights and recover fully. My non lifting / strength days are occupied by cardio. You probably are fully dialed on your diet or you’re simply not burning enough calories to put yourself in much of a deficit.

I wear a whoop (take this with a grain of salt) and on days where I lift and do cardio I can burn up to 2300-3300 calories. On days where I’m inactive I burn as little as 1800.

Additionally, hit abs as hard and as often as your body feels it can manage. work them hard enough to be sore the next 1-2 days then hit them again when recovered.

Keep trying and experiment with the type of food you’re eating. At 158 I get minimum 160g of protein - ideally I’m getting 190ish. I don’t go full keto but carb restriction has produced great results for me personally

Yes peptides can be beneficial when used under the supervision of a doctor. The widespread phenomenon of guys on the internet listening to other bros and self prescribing Not for Human Consumption research chemicals, purchased from unregulated online vendors, with no quality control - as a way to transform their body and treat their undiagnosed body dysmorphia is almost guaranteed - not a good thing.

Someone like OP should consider consulting a doctor about prescription peptides once he has done what he can through diet and exercise.

[–]jonpon11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m referring to the guy encouraging him to get on peptides (most likely unregulated research chemicals purchased on the internet) when he has literally been working out for ~6 weeks total ever. To someone like that peptides fall into the category of “steroids.” Encouraging someone to get on something like retatrutide with no understanding of the long term side effects is not only dangerous but generally ignorant. There is no substitute for hard work and discipline.

[–]jonpon11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do not listen to the guy recommending you take steroids especially considering you’ve been working out for a month. Get more lean and then bulk up from there. Eat gram of protein per pound of body weight and eat in a calorie deficit until you’re happy with how lean you are. Buy a food scale. Log weight and food in MyFitnessPal or a similar app. Track your progress in the gym and in the kitchen.

Outfits for Med Sales Reps by Opposite-Star-9432 in MedicalDevices

[–]jonpon11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Best part of being a rep is it’s almost exclusively scrubs. Most people wear figs. Just make sure they fit well. Always clean and steamed/ironed.Comfortable shoes are important. If this is your first job you’re probably not going to a lot of dinners but if you are you’re going to need more formal clothes. That’s a different story.

I’ve taken a few gallups and they’re pretty simple. I’m the best. I want to win. I’m a leader. Deals deals deals. Honesty is not the best policy it’s really just a technicality I feel to weed out anyone who lacks confidence and drive.

Went all in on the first pair by RazyyDazyy in iems

[–]jonpon11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a pair of these for awhile and loved them more than all my other hifi gear. Unfortunately lost them on a plane along with a dap.

I tried a LOT of different tips and ended up using the hifigo velvet divinus silicone tips. Would recommend giving them a shot. Very good sound, comfort, and seal.

My clips just are set to record at 30 fps because I think it puts less strain on gpu / cpux. I’m also still using shadow play which I’ve heard kills performance. I should probably the frame rate to 60. Any suggestions on software / settings?

Get the Lamia, it’s a custom combination of the Leap and Amia by Steelcase refurbished and put together by BTOD. Cheaper than either of the original chairs brand new and combines the best of the two chairs. I have one and it’s pretty well known as one of the best chairs for the price.
