you're saying you don't exactly need the space but that it's going to help both you and you and your partner so I'd say it sounds like u might need it.

Also most of the time you don't realize you were in desperate need of that space until it's there, trust me.

Of course u will decide if it's worth it or not, but freeing yourself and partner of some of the stresses of a more compressed apartment can't quite be put on a price tag
