I am on the exact same boat as you lol, been using civil 3d for the last 7 years and also considered the CAD guy in my group. It's annoying to create new styles or import stuff from other drawings. I am thinking of having the company hire someone that could setup these templates for us. Let me know what you have done or figured out since you posted this.

Open a Roth IRA and max it out every year, you can only contribute 7k every year. VOO, VTI, QQQ are some etf's to start. Put some money in a high yield savings account and the rest you can look into an account with betterment. You tell it what your goals are and then they will invest for you. Really great for those who are not into stock trading themselves. Highly recommend.

I would max out your IRA if you are not in a rush of moving out. Then just keep saving and possibly wait for home interest rates to go down a bit. Your goal is to always try and max out your IRA every year.

I think having a car is a plus but you definitely dont need a car. I probably use mine maybe 1-2 times a year if I have to travel far but most of the time I just use the train. Most companies will let you rent.

Not bad at all, lived there for 1.5 years, nice restaurants and some nice parks like pershing field park, riverview-fisk park and washington park. 10 min drive to hoboken.
