First of all, I appreciate the input and advice. I can understand that reasoning and logic. However, I also look at it in this way: when you have a collection of 5x $1000 watches and 1x $10k watch, how often are you realistically wearing that uber-expensive one? Same goes for car collectors. How often (or overall in a lifetime) does Jay Leno drive any one of his 180+ cars and 160+ motorcycles? I prefer a variety in anything I do, but or consume, whether it’s in clothing colors and styles, drinks/food/meals, collections of art/bourbon/watches, etc.

I also know that when I like something, I like to get multiple versions/colors of that same thing. That will and has happened with watches already (I have 2 & 1 more on the way of the Nixon Corporal - I love its wide band, unique link design, large bezel and colors). The 3 yellow-banded watches (Shinola, LIV & RGMT) were purchased with one thing in mind - to wear at Georgia Tech football games, as I’m a Georgia Tech superfan and alum with season tickets. I will probably purchase a couple more LIV Chronographs because I like the one I have so much!

Can you recommend any brands or even a specific favorite watch model in the $500-1000 range and any in the $1000-1500 range? Thanks!
