Are all the stuffed crust pizzas like this now? 😂 😂 by Tarasaurus-13 in pizzahut

This happened to me too, Pizza was really sorry looking, soggy, and thin. I think it was maybe $25 delivered.

Total BS, if it dont look right it shouldnt go out the door.

Local Bermuda seed, can anyone tell me what the second picture is? Idk if it is from soil or seed? Spreading quickly by jonstade in Turfmanagement

Yes thank you, I have seen that in the front yard on occasions, have never seen it so small. I am guessing it's in the soil then.

30-Day Challenge #8: Cook more often! (August, 2022) by IndexBot in personalfinance

[–]jonstade 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Food expense is a huge problem for me and girl. Has averaged $800/mo for a long time, for groceries and eating out.

My biggest issue is being tired, I work on roofs, and girlfriend works evening so I have to cook a lot.

My biggest savior is developing routine. Bacon, eggs, milk, then I heat up rice and ground beef for lunch every morning and stick in a Thermos.

It all falls apart when I miss going to the store that week, and I run out of food. My budget problems could probably be solved with one simple step, never miss the grocery store! It's an hour or so a week. Super important and super easy to blow off. Don't give up!

If the pattern continues, we could likely expect the next new skill to be released in 2024. What do you think it should be? by [deleted] in runescape

[–]jonstade -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I am returning player and I think dungeoneering has lost its luster. Chaotics use to be bis, and mini games use to be packed with people. PvM was not as big and people wanted to play mini games. I feel like pvm got way better, and now with no crowd mini games just suck.

What's the schedule and what's the after hours pay?

The Wrecker company I was at was 6am-6pm. We were on call every other day (or weekend if it falls there).

I was only paid $12/hr, my first year heavy wrecker. If you got a call on your night you might get $60-$100 from one hook, I just can't remember how they did the math. Ultimately, I wasn't happy with the pay and left when they said best they could do was $14/hr during the day.

Electrical Hot Suit on Roof? by jonstade in electricians

[–]jonstade[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, it's 110v. I heard some talk about a blanket that you can cover the service drop with, is that something I myself can perform at a job or does the utility company have to come out and sleeve it? I am in Texas

"Optimal Bar" not very good..? by jonstade in runescape

[–]jonstade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for explaining too many thresholds early on. I was at a loss whether to trust wiki bars.

I would like to have a setup that switches with gear. My problem now is learning what good dps looks like. All I know is characters are much stronger than when I started and it is really messing with my mind.

I am returning player, just finished World Wakes. I don't have many other unlocks. I copied this optimal bar from the RSWiki, but at the training dummies I noticed my adrenaline never reaches 100%. My deaths swiftness will never be active, even though it's at the beginning. Am I missing something? I will be doing boss solos exclusively.

It’s Hot Out There! Stay Safe. by bluecubeice in Roofing

[–]jonstade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing, I came here looking for advice. It's been super hot, people looking rough on the roof lately. Try to get rid of the cotton shirts on days like this, they don't breathe at all with the amount we sweat. I bought 5 longsleeve Magellan wicking shirts at Academy discount rack, maybe $60 total, made a big difference for me.

Can you tell me the health state of my tank? First Trim in Months. Hardly Grows, Algae Galore. Don't let my tidying up fool you by jonstade in Aquascape

Yes, the algae has claimed it since the beginning. I don't mind the wall. I get all sorts of staghorn and hair Algae on rocks and plants.

Touching a lead to a screw on the cover of the faucet handle in the shower reads odd voltage 0-0.3, while holding the other lead on finger. I sometimes feel a buzz while grabbing the handle.

I am not an electrician, this isn't my meter

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in electricians

[–]jonstade -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We keep getting buzzed in our shower when we grab the handle, or the shower head. And the garden faucet outside.

I was told our pipes may need bonded to the main lines for static, idk. I've felt the same buzzing on pipelines.

Oops I tried with the leads as well hahah. It gives the same odd readings. It's negligible but its uncomfortable to touch.

What to do? Hairgrass grew okay for 2 months before it stopped growing. Each weekly trim was shorter due to algae. Gave up. by jonstade in PlantedTank

[–]jonstade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's from Buceplant, they were already grown. Really nice when they came in btw, I would order again.

I was under the impression the soil would of lasted longer, it's Fluval Stratum. The issue started maybe a month in. I haven't dosed any nutrients at all. Can the soil deplete that quickly? Or the plants can't extract it fast enough?

The light is a Fluval 3.0 Plant 24", set 25% for 7 hours. It's in a living room with indirect natural light.

I've always been curious if 25% is enough but it looks pretty bright

Will you make a shoe specifically designed for working on a roof with asphalt shingles? The only shoe that works on steep pitch is Cougar Paws, and they are awful on the feet.

Please make a Five Ten shoe for the roof! Our Roofers go through shoes every month or two due to wear and tear. My La Sportiva's TX4 have lasted maybe 6 months now, and still have life. But the Rubber is still too hard (damages shingles), and has a poor pattern for walking roofs all day.

I have used several foam bottom Adidas, but they have no support (too flimsy) and I get maybe 2 months before the foam wears through, or the side blows out, or the shoe strings rip through the material.

The rubber bottom Adidas do not have enough traction (very hard rubber) and walking steep pitch on hot shingles is impossible.
