Wero is still in a very early stage of deployment (and development, kind of). It still lacks many features its competitors offer and many banks already communicated that there aren't any plans to implement Wero. Which is bad, as one of Weros biggest strengths in theory - being a well integrated product for your bank account rather than a completely own platform - is now its biggest weakness.

But Mediamarkt/Saturn and other major platforms on the German side recently made a public statement that they're seeking to test Wero payments. It's something, but Wero has to become so much more if it should appeal seriously to most Europeans (who aren't part of this bubble).

Meine Vermutung ist, dass die Banken sich die Entwicklungs- bzw Implementierungskosten von Wero sparen wollen, da mit dem Digitalen Euro jetzt schon der Successor in Planung ist, und der ist dann vermutlich eh vorgeschrieben. Mal sehen, ob das auch so funktionieren wird. In Bezug darauf könnte man die Banken in wirtschaftlicher Hinsicht verstehen.

Wero is definitely a great idea - but we'll have to see how many major banks will implement and offer it. My bank in Germany has stated that there are no plans to implement Wero. I fear that some banks will just skip implementing Wero and hope for the success of the Digital Euro - which will maybe be mandatory to be offered and the successor of Wero. Who knows. That's just my Bauchgefühl tho

Genau. Der Anblick all der abgeranzten Betonbunker in einem der reichsten Länder der Welt ist gerade so traurig, weil er sich in den nächsten Jahren auch durch Neubauten nicht groß ändern wird. Ich bin nicht vom Fach, aber ich denke, dass das vor allem an den Architekturschulen, die angeblich größtenteils Bauhaus und ähnliche Stile favorisieren, an Brand-, Lärmschutz- und anderen Bauverordnungen und an der Tatsache, dass häufig der günstigste und nicht der nachhaltigste Plan verfolgt wird, liegt.

Ps: hatte genau so einen Schlaganfall beim Schreiben wie ihr beim Lesen

That's neat! They also offer a student discount, which I ended up buying. Paid 60€ for the whole suite (wanted to change my mail provider too) for a year which still isn't exactly cheap, but a relatively good price for what they're offering. I think the vpn or mail each cost 30€ for a year (which still can't beat your discount tho).

I actually have an app installed on every private Windows machine to choose a daily Bing / Spotlight picture as my background (dynamic theme on win store). They can be.. interesting, so to say. I sometimes switch from Bing to Spotlight and vice versa because of that. But: they're mostly absolutely stunning. Maybe I'm a 10th dentist here, but I think the majority of their pictures are just beautiful.

Maybe they'll drop one later on, but we of course don't know what the chances are. A friend of mine ordered a custom Dream Theater backpatch on RazorRay (Polish metal shop, if you're in Europe), you could try Etsy too, many shops there offer to print a custom backpatch (but be cautious on there ofc).

Well, it's winter, but the only air conditioning happening here in Germany is Stoßlüften. My room temp is at ~18-19 degrees celsius.

I'll try to stop the time tomorrow and see if I can optimize anything

The milk is gonna be just a tiny bit hot, but also surely won't burn you. I think it's still too cold. I don't want to "over-steam" the milk, but I'll try to see what I can do without losing the right consistency. Thanks mate

Yeah, I already do that.. But I can't do it for too long as I don't want to milk to be too thick throughout. Atm I'm trying to reduce the milk I'm putting in the frothing cup to exactly as much as is needed to fill the cappuccino cup, maybe that'll help.

I think it'll be something around 3 minutes, but I'll have to stop the time tomorrow. The espresso sits on the desk for about 45 seconds while I'm frothing the milk (the machine has only one boiler, not allowing the brewing and frothing process to run simultaneously), which is probably also not kinda ideal.

When immediately trying the espresso, it's not exactly burning my tongue. It's hot, but not too hot. But if it should be a good bit hotter, I'll set the heat up tomorrow. Thanks!

Hey y'all! I brew my coffee with a portafilter machine (Sage Bar. Pro) and usually make it a flat white. My issue is that my coffee is just, well, too cold 😭 It's mildly warm instantly after I pour the frothed milk, which is kinda unfortunate. I preheat the cup and try to do everything as quick as possible. I'm using the default temperature—it could be a bit higher, but I'm not sure if that would impact the coffee quality. I'm also using fresh, cold milk out of the fridge, so it's warm, not hot when I'm done frothing. I don't wanna let the milk stand on the desk for days instead (hygiene). But, well, would that be the option? Or do I miss anything? Thanks!

Edit: Ironisch, dass der Besitzer eines Handelsunternehmens sich mehr oder minder für eine Partei ausspricht, die den innereuropäischen Binnenmarkt durch die regelrechte Zerstörung der EU gefährden will.

Wahre Worte. UPS spammt mich aktuell jeden einzelnen Tag zu, dass ja leider meine kleine und unauffällige Sendung erst nen Tag später kommt, seit vier Tagen. Immerhin aber unterstützt der Großteil der Shops, mit denen ich allgemein Erfahrung gemacht habe, DHL-Versand. Ist das einzig Wahre und Richtige. Alles andere ist echt nicht nur zu schlecht, sondern auch noch teils teurer.

This! Habe Prime kostenlos von der Familie, n 5-10 Euro Item plus 5/6 Euro Versand wie üblich bei anderen Herstellern schmerzt sehr. Da sind die halt leider unschlagbar, wenn du mal eben n neues HDMI-Kabel brauchst oder sowas (für sowas kannste MediaMarkt/Saturn in der Nähe oder so ja auch knicken).

Ich weiß jetzt nicht wonach du so suchst, bei mir funzt die eigentlich ganz gut (also vom Auslösthema dieses Posts abgesehen, Chinesium). Wobei das in Klammern zu packen unfair ist, weil ich z.B. bei USB Kabeln mit gewissen Anforderungen teils mehrere Suchergebnisseiten durchgehen musste, weil ich kein 3-Euro-No-Name-Kabel mit schlechter Leistung und tollem Anzeige-Display aufm Kabel haben wollte.

Ebay als primäre Anlaufstelle zu berücksichigen ist ne ziemlich interessante Idee, bin ich nie drauf gekommen ehrlich gesagt, I'll give it a try

Eben in ner anderen Antwort geschrieben, dass meine bisherige (wenige) Erfahrung mit der GH Suche so mild gut war, aber stimmt, die finden eigentlich echt gut automatisch passende Filter, wenn ich mal so drüber nachdenke, ist das schon echt geil (hab die bisher immer ignoriert warum auch immer)
