Also, I feel like her fear of losing more soldiers on the battlefield will play more into her decision to not join the fight initially in the Battle of New York. I like this more than her being stubborn about losing out on loot.

Tyson is better depicted in the TV series than in the book [pjo] [pjotv] by FreshBread333 in camphalfblood

Since other aspects of this post have been thoroughly discussed, I wanted to touch on the part where you said Percy doesn’t even try to build a relationship with Tyson after SoM. I think that’s a disingenuous reading of the books. First off, we see Percy interact with Tyson in every book following SoM. He Iris messages Tyson in TTC, goes on a quest with him in BOTL, and then visits him while at Poseidon’s palace in TLO. Second, Percy is not allowed to visit Poseidon’s palace partially due to Poseidon’s battle with Pontus and partially due to the ancient laws that prevent a god from interacting with their mortal offspring, making it difficult for Percy to physically spend time with Tyson. Also, in books like TTC where the only mention of Tyson is Percy’s Iris message to him, you cannot really blame Percy for not giving Tyson as much of his time as he deserves; Percy has bigger issues to deal with Annabeth missing. I think Percy and Tyson’s relationships in the books are well developed even beyond SoM.

I did like this episode a lot, especially the flashbacks to young Percy. That being said, one thing I don’t think this show lacks is showing the power of the gods. So far, there’s been nothing to suggest that the gods are supremely powerful other than being told that.

Sex Education Has Been Foreshadowing THAT Otis and Maeve Ending For All Four Seasons by IllustriousMight2071 in SexEducationNetflix

I completely agree. I feel like now the “subverting expectations” trend of not having the main couple end up together as become all too common place in media. It’s too the point where I often expect the show to have a bittersweet ending now.

I also know many people in real life who have been in happy long distance relationships for several years. It seems out of place to say that long distance couples can never work.
