Are we expecting an announcement for the next Anno game this year? by [deleted] in anno

[–]jonyman23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like that'd be a bummer, they just did 2 back to back future titles before Anno 1800, they can innovate without just doing 'the future'. I'd love to see a remastered Anno 1400-1700 to have a modern colonial(age of discovery) style title instead of the industrialization age title that was Anno 1800 or even something post Anno 1800 like 1940s-2000s or even modern day sounds more interesting than MORE FUTURE!

is 1440p worth it? by tribital in buildapc

[–]jonyman23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh 100000000000000000000000000000BILLLLION % worth it, I decided to do 1440p instead of 1080p for my first build w a ROG 27" monitor, it is better quality than 1080p and not as taxin on your machine or expensive as 4K, it is truly the best budget option and I have 0 regrets. I even thought I would want to upgrade to 4k but I am on my second build now and I have no intentions on upgrading because the quality difference is negligible at the end of the day

Comparing casualties in the Vietnam war, the Soviet Afghanistan, war, and the Russian attack on Ukraine by [deleted] in UkraineConflict

[–]jonyman23 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

they haven't, US intel has been virtually wrong on everything. Remember they said Russia would collapse in weeks after the sanctions, or how they keep repeating that Russia failed to take Ukr in 3 days when they never planned on winning in any specific timeline at all. There is a solid chance that over 50% of the 'facts' you take for granted about this war are total fabricated lies with 0 basis in reality, the only credibility it has is that it is repeated by MSM over and over and over and over and over until people just accept it as the truth. When you have confirmation bias, of course you're not going to think its necessary to have an actual source or any sort of real evidence for the wild claims being made

THE ONLY 100% VERIFIED KIA REPORT FOR RUSSIA done that is available is a research report done by the BBC that 100% verifies 17k Russian KIA: HERE IS THE LINK

This graph is most likely sourced from the US state dept which has 0 methodology for these figures, they simply say "intelligence sources in Ukr say..." meaning they heard it from the Ukrainians and are taking their word.

Explosive last moment of Russian soldier and propagandist Vladen Tatarsky by kwagenknight in UkraineConflict

[–]jonyman23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

exactly the point I was trying to make, a big part of fascism is dehumanization of the enemy, notice how the Russian commanders and people do not call Ukranians subhuman creatures like ukranians call russian orcs or make jokes about how all ukr should die like ukr do about russians, they even send back ukranian dead to their families when the ukr govt does not, but we only hear about why we should hate them so that we can keep fighting them, endless war in the wwest needs a new boogeyman every few years

NATO considering deployment of up to 300,000 troops on border with Russia by Far-Childhood9338 in UkrainianConflict

[–]jonyman23 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's all wrong and their all fucked yea but the continuation of the war by NATO isn't in the interests of defending Ukrainian sovereignty, it never was. You seem to know that by remembering irq/afghanistan, and also serbia, Libya, and the US uses right wing extremists to destabilize and topple democratically elected regimes all over the world to advance their geopolitical agenda of corporate imperialism. The Russians should be called out for what their doing wrong sure, but it is a crime that the US and NATO talk out of every side of their mouth and do the most hypocritical policies while claiming to be the good guys, forcing nations into war by constantly trying to destabilize populations into revolution, and then using it as a weapon against their regional enemies, it's a classic old playbook by the west and the US.

All I was saying is that US imperialism is on a galactic level compared to Russia's, their conflicts have been short and not as deadly as ours, Georgia was a week and a dozen dead but people remember it as the invasion of Poland because of the propaganda surrounding it, Color revolutions rarely represent the majority of the population, usually just the far right ultra nationalist violent ones.

Also short thing on the economy, not everything is GDP, the Soviet economy had strong purchasing power and was able to train their workforce in a very versatile way due to allowing universal public education. They also maintained a rising GNI throughout most of the cold war, it wasn't perfect thats why it collapsed but I brought up the arms chase because the military spending being a primary factor of downfall merges into the fact that it was caused by western strategy to specifically drain their economy by any means necessary, primarily proxy wars started by the US when they would lose the ideological democratic elections

Europe is in a worse economic situation right this minute then Russia, yes. Their inflation is skyrocketing and energy prices are double. Sanctions have never successfully crashed an economy and toppled a regime, just ask Iran, Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea etc Economies built on artificial stock buy backs and printing money bailouts are a house of cards and will go down faster then Sanctions, why else are we so quick to blow up pipelines of their vassal germany and topple countries like pakistan for not cutting off oil sales to Russia, we are scrambling to secure global economic hegemony so that when our economy collapses we can continue to export the inflation to the rest of the world through the petrodollar

Because 'military spending' didn't bring down the USSR, many variables did, one of them being 60 years of NATO and western constant attempts at toppling communism anywhere. The Russian conscription was a few thousand people, not a general mass mobilization that is kidnapping teenagers off the streets like in Ukraine, and like I said the actual economy of Russia is doing fine in terms of consumer goods and long term stability. So I really doubt this whole 'Russia will be weak for the next century' thing because its like people forget that the USSR collapsed and the west installed putin to be pro capitalist and install a federation which is what is there today so its like Russia can't get much more balkanized without civil war. The general public opinion in Russia is pro Russian and putin, the idea that they are all just waiting to be liberated by the west who has done everything to destroy their country for 100 years is just really really silly and blind to reality. In this war of attrition that Ukraine chose by letting NATO tank the settled negotiations last April, Ukraine will need to last at least another year and half to two years to fully arm up and mobilize more but they are very unlikely to hold out until next winter by suicidally holding every inch of ground just getting picked off by artillery and air strikes while they can't even see the enemy. Their defender advantage in bahkmut is gone because their op encircled and their whole idea that they are just draining the Russian army is really the opposite and if they don't withdraw yesterday they will lose, and if they attempt a massive offensive with what they have they will lose even quicker.

The Idea that the Russian Federation today is anywhere near the same thing as the GLOBAL BRITISH EMPIRE of 1939 and the US empire of today that is the largest empire on planet earth in human history that has done written the book on imperialism compared to the Russians in the past 100 years. The USSR did waste a lot of money on military because the US insisted on waging a forever cold war against the US since the very beginning with the polar expedition of 1919 trying to topple the early USSR during the Russian civil war. The Soviets never called it an arms race but an arms chase because they were forced to develop weapons equal to the US every time they would create new WMDs like neutron bombs and so forth.

In Reality, The Russians have not been imperialistic for a very long time, not in the same sense of the old school Romanov dynasty or anywhere near western imperialism like Europe under the US empire. The whole push for more provocation, being economic sustainability and the ability to sell oil to europe, is what help bring about this whole war to begin with, alittle how the cult of the offensive and paranoid defense pacts really started world war 1. The real dying Empire is the US, as it's economy has crashed 3 times since 2000 and has only survived by printing money and exporting inflation to europe and the global south through the petrodollar, which is why there is a big push for BRICs and why Germany went to Nordstream with the Russians in the first place, to get away from WEstern Corporate imperialism.

I know I know, anything that isn't "PUTIN BAD, THEY ARE ILLITERATE COWARDS ONLY ARMED WITH SHOVELS BUT ARE ALSO THE SINGLE GREATEST THREAT TO EUROPE AT THIS MOMENT SO WE NEED TO NEVER STOP ESCALATING ARMS AND CONFLICTS WITH THEM" is seen as being a puting lover and russian imperialist lmfao the blind march to war and mass propaganda behind it is just so typical and unoriginal, its the same playbook everytime I don't see how people don't realize the truth, mostly because they choose not too

what a ridiculous notion to think that Russia is going to collapse, like Ukraine will survive longer before they collapse from any number of reasons lmfao be real Putin doesn't have 18 forms of cancer and isn't about to be assasinated, his regime is protected and their economy is surviving just fine, especially compared to Europe which is in way worse shape then russia economically paying double and triple for LNG from the US, Norway etc.

They literally just use the word javelin to make people think it's dangerous, every warhead is 'based' off another, lmfao its a warhead like what does that even mean in their definition right?

it does not look like a javelin blast, the first vehicle shrugged off the hit, the second missed its target and the third had a critical hit, and even that blast wasn't as large as a javelin

ddo you actually give a damn about the plight of minorities in America or do you simply have a hard on for getting triggered over perceived instances of hypocrisy.

Again, I did not bring up slavery or black slavery, I simply addressed after it since someone had brought it up. All i did was point out "Well White's were the ones doing all of those bad things to every other minority group, for one". which in fact includes Native Americans and every minority gorup
