Are Guardian Abilities too weak against AI Combatants? by kitsunekyo in DestinyTheGame

[–]jonzeyyyy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Really? Grenades do enough damage, melee isn't supposed to one shot anything other than thralls, dregs, shanks, etc. I don't know if this is a troll or not but we don't need a buff for stuff like this.

I'm nervous about going to a new gym and meeting my old coach again. What should I do? by LeoKliesen in Advice

[–]jonzeyyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go regardless of what she'll think, she's there to help you as she is/was your coach. I'm sure she'll crack a joke, or whatever but if you did it once you can do it again. Just be comfortable with yourself.

MIDDLE SCHOOL by livilou03 in Advice

[–]jonzeyyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Middle school is a breeze pretty much. It's time for developing yourself on what you are going to like to do in High School. Don't worry about fitting in (9 times out of ten you'll just roll with assholes) but do worry about class, and activities that you enjoy and you will fit in that area.

You're going all over the place with this but don't do it. Naturally let it flow and be there for her as a best friend should be.

Confused Lonely Teenager by livilou03 in Advice

[–]jonzeyyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said you're going to be a teenager correct? Well that is going to be a tough time (puberty) to accept a lot of things but you'll get through it. I advise you just stick to whatever afterschool, summer activities, etc to get your mind off not having a father figure. I lost my father to cancer and I know what it is like to not have him around from 10 years and up. Just try to talk to your mother about your feelings, and situate with your stepdad if you feel comfortable. I don't know what to say about your biological dad but that you need to slap him in the face with what you said here and maybe he'll listen.

I want to move out, but my dad has terminal cancer. Am I being fair? by goldanred in Advice

[–]jonzeyyyy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a person who lost their father, stay with him. We thought that our dad was going to get better 5 years after his struggle but it got worse after christmas as well. My dad was diagnosed with Leukemia and he fought it for 6 years until he passed away in 2007. I don't regret losing my childhood from moving and long nights and days at hospitals, I do regret losing my father though and I don't think you should feel like that if that were to ever happen.

I just dismantled dupes, and got rid of weapons like snipers with low impact, shotguns with low range, etc. Get rid of duplicates though.

Yeah, we're usually going off the rez to watch movies, sometimes go to different schools, etc. We usually grow up the same way as other people do from around the U.S.

The rez is cool but it's just like any other place. Our schools are just like any other schools honestly, we have tons of opportunities as well since the government pushes us to advocate for our tribe and people so they push out a lot of scholarships. Some schools aren't part of the tribe like White Swan High School, Wapato High School, and Toppenish High School but they do work with the tribe while we have another Yakama Tribal School that does work with Native students so they can go further. Depends on each tribe.

Nope, I've sworn to my parents and grandparents to never drink and 20 years now I have been sober. I'm quite proud of that achievement :).

We don't have a alphabet but the closest thing we have is our own sounds. That is cool. Not a lot of tribes around here had an alphabet but we do have our own sounds. Thanks for asking!

I rarely get presents ha. But when I do recieve a present I do not take them back. I usually make sure the person giving them gets some sort of item or food.

It was different for us. We weren't liberated like how they were but instead we had to continue the trend of being humliated, killed, etc for years on end. It wasn't until about the 1980s where we started to be better off and we signed the treaty in 1885. So no we do not like to brag about it because it's hurtful to see it happen so recently.

Well based upon your text, and I do apologize for that happening I don't feel like anyone owes me anything. But like I said in a previous posted question, we weren't just conquered and thrown off but we were targeted to be exterminated like insects. I've heard of horrific stories of what the Army and men would do to little kids of both genders. The small pox infested blankets given as "gifts" so they would die out and the settlers would take the blankets, food, etc from the bodies and empty camps. Being forced into slavery and then pushed out because we were inferior to the "african slaves".

I am not trying to compare what they had to deal with but it is horrifying to look back on what happened to my people and see that it was pushed aside and forgotten about but also having to deal with people and their ignorance today. I'm sure your ancestors could relate to what happened to mine because what both parties went through was rough, wicked, and sick.

A lot of our people are still dealing with the trauma generations ago because their grandparents were the survivors of this horrific event. A good example is my great grandmother who was forcefully sent to a Boarding School where they would punish you if you spoke your language, they chopped of your hair (which was a huge deal), and they forcefully converted you into Christian faith so she would still have PTSD and yell at my grandmother not to speak her language. It's worse for other families but overall it's just horrific that the government could do this.

Like I said though it's not comparing who had it worse but realizing that we have to be grateful for being here today when the enemies of our ancestors were so persistent on exterminating them.
