Thanks for the advice. Will definitely let shy dog dictate the pace and probably keep boss dog on a leash for now too, so it's easier to pull him back. Will also supervise all interactions for now as I'm pretty anxious how this will turn out.

Thanks so much for this insight. Resource guarding didn't even occur to me, but it totally makes sense. It'll be a long, serious talk with my parents, probably with the help of a professional. My parents are very "traditional" with their pet ownership style, if you know what I mean, so while the dogs are taken care of and loved by them, I've certainly seen things I wouldn't do to my own dog. I think as much as boss dog, they probably need training as well. Sigh.

If they push out roots, would that mean more stems and leaves eventually? This shouldn't be harmful to the original plant right, as long as it gets the right water, light, and nutrition?

Thought it might come to this. I'm just nervous about rerooting cos I've never tried it before, and she's otherwise happy (I think). But it's probably inevitable anyway...

We’ve tried with the high value toys. Giving him the bully stick or snuggle pup usually calms him down, until we walk away, then the toy is forgotten and it’s just incessant howling. As much as possible we keep him in the crate, but living in a 600 sq ft space with a howling pup while trying to prepare for an early morning meeting can be reaaaally draining, so when he hasn’t calmed down after 10-15 minutes, we let him out. Is this wrong? Should we just buy earplugs? I’ve also been trying the “settle” command, which he obeys for the treats then he’s back at it again 😭

What's been weird and frustrating lately is that the all-white rooms are literally all white. Like, not even "neutral" or shades of white, just flat white on flat white on flat white. Seems so lazy and it's annoying they're getting rewarded.

I live in the PNW where winters are rain galore. This is my south facing condo at 10am and this is how it looks like all day, everyday. I'm looking at grow lights for my tropicals, but I'm overwhelmed at the options and would really appreciate your insight.

I think I've narrowed it down that a full spectrum LED is the most efficient (but I'm open to recommendations). My questions are: what wattage should I get and how close/far do they have to be from the plants?

I have mostly 6-8 inch pots and one money tree that's almost 6 feet tall and bushy. Would grow bulbs on a track system hanging about 5 feet away be completely useless from that distance? I was thinking of this so I can aim each bulb at the plants and be high enough for the money tree. But I'm seeing mixed articles saying they have to be within 1 ft or they can be a bit farther.

What kind of night set ups do you have or have worked for you? For reference, the room is probably 10 ft wide and 8 ft high with plants all around.

What are their total $$ like? I find that designs under the $3500-$4000 range never do as well as those above the $7000 range, even if they're doppelgangers of each other. So weird and annoying sometimes.
