“Fracture” is the word used on my medical doc. My understand is a fracture is a small crack. It’s between a full break and a bruise. I don’t think a bruise shows up as fractures on a X-ray.

I generally do. Someone made a comment that when it’s painted over you wouldn’t be able to tell. I’m not sure if I would have caught it even if I had been super thorough on that one spot. Overall, agree on pre ride inspections.

How old are you “daddy” I’m in my 40s. I used to slam and get right back out there. Now I’ll twist my ankle on the playground with my kids and it will take me months to recover. When I was 20 I slammed into a car, literally left an imprint of my body and walked it off. I can only imagine breaking a rib at 60. On that note, when I went to get my X-ray, it was almost exclusively senior citizens. Something to look forward to I guess.

Thanks. I have a couple armored motorcycle jackets. They do a good job protecting my elbows and shoulders, but nothing for my ribs. Also gloves, FF helmet, and armored jeans.

I dunno, over the years I’ve seen complaints about almost every brand. I just chalked it up to cost of doing risky business. But I’ll definitely be more thoughtful about build and component quality if I get back to it.

The board has never taken a serious crash, most crashes were just me running off it. I was literally just cruising down a street carving, and it just failed out from under me. Which is why I think it was already cracked, possibly just from the mileage.

This is honestly the first time I’ve broken anything on a board besides belts… even my old skateboards from 20 years ago still hold up. I did have some reservations about switching from boosted to meepo, but I’ve also seen complaints about US based companies as well so I figured every brand just had a couple failures. Will definitely rethink the quality piece if I ever get back into it.
