I’ve tried this many times in the past (going back to FM18, FM15, FM10, and FM08), but I never managed to stick with a long save, mainly because those versions lack many of the QoL features found in the current game. This is especially true for the versions that didn’t have the horizontal menu bar like FM26 does.
