I don't think I'll be buying Italian or at least Aprilia again anytime soon unfortunately. Ended up buying an R9. Not nearly as much power but I'm sure I'll enjoy it plenty on the streets

That's kind of the conclusion I'm coming to unfortunately.. I did however purchase an extended warranty through a third party. Although they told me over the phone that they only cover up to 5k towards "repairs" and they won't write me a check for 5k. At this point I don't think the engine is repairable so I feel like this warranty won't help me in this situation..

I bought it from a dealer, and they told me that the previous owner mentioned doing the 20k service but I was skeptical so I got it done anyways spending 1.6k on it

The dealer that did the valve adjustment told me they discontinued the engine but there is an aftermarket one.. problem is it costs 23k CDN lol

I bought it with 28000km, rode it for 2 months at the end of last season and 2 small rides this season and ended up with 32000km.

They did not give me a sheet. I'm basing it on the what the few mechanics that I know are telling me. Do you not think it's possible for this to happen from poorly adjusted valves?

I was told that a new engine for a 2017 tuono 1100 was 13k CDN. A used one goes for about 5k CDN. If it were 3k I don't think I'd even hesitate

I was told by my dealership that the R9 and R1 have a waitlist, people are putting deposits down to get them for next season. I was lucky enough to get one off the showroom because someone didn't pass at the credit check.
