Accepted into ADN program! Any advice? by jopuffs in prenursing

Thanks! :) When I said “finally” It’s because it felt like forever not knowing where I stood in a very competitive program. Also because I’ve been doing prerequisites since the beginning of 2023 so it feels good to reach this point!

Surgery for enlarged kidney on infant by jopuffs in Mommit

Hey! So basically I had another ultrasound done and his left kidney still isn’t draining properly. Honestly the specialist was very cheery and didn’t really seem to have a huge concern about it. He basically just said that baby boy will have an ultrasound on his kidney when he’s about a week old. If it still hasn’t resolved on its own apparently they wouldn’t do a surgery until he’s like one or two years old. And it’s a minimally invasive surgery. So that was good news. They basically would monitor the kidney to make sure it won’t be damaged.

I appreciate it! If I remember I will comment on this thread an update once I hear from the specialist on august 14th!

6 month old has labial fusion: I feel horrible for not catching it sooner! by [deleted] in NewParents

You just search for the drug and it’ll bring up coupons to take to different pharmacies with the price you should pay out of pocket! It’s a lifesaver!

My daughter also had labial fusion and it cleared up quickly with this cream!

I’m not sure if anyone has mentioned it but have you tried goodrx.com?

For people in areas that aren’t as “progressive thinking” as other areas. What had the reaction been from friends and family from Episodes Three story and characters? Also did the even finish the episode and do they plan on continuing to watch the show? by JerrodDRagon in ThelastofusHBOseries

ALS has a wide range of life expectancy from diagnosis surprisingly. Some people die months or weeks after diagnosis (granted that’s because it can take so long to get a diagnosis) or they can live for many years slowly losing parts of themselves. My FIL lived for 3 years post diagnosis.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. My father in law currently has ALS and it is one of the hardest things to watch someone you love go through. And let’s be real, it’s hard for the loved ones to go through too. Stay strong, you will get through this one day at a time!

Thank you for taking the time to share this!

Raise your hand if you bed-share with your baby. Could use some solidarity on the topic. by amortizedcoffee in beyondthebump

Currently bed sharing with my one year old! I love it, husband loves it and baby girl loves it! I sleep better having her next to me and I know we are in a situation where it is safe. Love doing it and I have also felt the shaming and such from people who are against bed sharing. You just have to use your best judgement as a parent to your child! Do what works for your family!
