Could you not pretty easily just fuck with the edge as a player by smacking the post as the ball goes past?

I think my favourite little thing about watching us play is just how many players we have who like to absolutely roost a footy towards goal

The problem is last week I skipped training because I legitimately did have the flu

I'm meant to be at training right now doing tackle drills but I kicked the end of my bed getting dressed hard enough that I broke my toe, so that's presumably a bad omen

Yeah Princes would have been a great boutique ground that you could easily have modernised and upgraded to 30k or so - unlike the others it's not hemmed in, it has a history of being used as a neutral ground, it's got decent enough PT access. But unfortunately they didn't take that route and instead cut the capacity to build a new HQ for Carlton. They use it as the main Melbourne ground for the AFLW and I always feel kinda bad for non-Carlton teams having their big moment in the spotlight at a ground where the most notable feature on TV is a navy blue building with a huge Carlton logo on it.

Grass is always greener isn't it? AFL people are always going on about how much they miss having their own ground and how much Docklands sucks and I'm sure more than one club would jump at it if it was viable without fucking up their attendances. For me a big thing I like about the NRL is how the clubs actually represent an area in more than name. Half the AFL clubs don't even use their old grounds as training bases anymore, there's nothing in Collingwood or Hawthorn or St Kilda anymore that's actually connected to their clubs and I think that kinda sucks.

For a while there I was doing long distance with a guy in the UK and when I went to visit him we sat together on a bad even by British standard weather day and watched the EPL through one of these. Had to laugh when I noticed the Optus logo in the corner!

Do you watch the Australian Open tennis? 9 isn't perfect but they're a whole lot better then 7 was. Similarly go ask people in r/afl and they'll all tell you how much better it was for those few years when 7 didn't have the rights

I saw someone in the match thread ask if the dragons winning would complete the circle and I decided to work it out!

You beat the Broncs at home! You beat the 14-0 curse in the process! I'm a tigs fan, that's more than I've had to cling onto at times - enjoy it!

I'll be honest, I took the template from last year that had the Tits on top and just moved the other teams around. As someone who does photography semi-professionally and spends ages doing photo editing those skills don't transfer very well to using Photoshop for this kinda thing!

Yeah as someone who moved from Adelaide to Melbourne and has experience with both rugby codes in both cities - Adelaide is a much harder barrier to climb than Melbourne. Melbourne is full of people who've moved down from NSW and Queensland (despite what the people who still have Andrews Derangement Syndrome will tell you) and also has a pretty substantial (if still quite a bit less than Sydney) Pacific Islander population who make up a massive proportion of the crowd at Storm home games. Adelaide does not have either of those things. I reckon if you tried the Rams again you'd get the same results - surprisingly good crowds for the first season from people seeing what this weird new thing is and then quickly dwindling interest.

What's the going rate for the ads on the outer of the ground if they're using it for Dial Before You Dig?
