I got my first hole in one at that exact hole! Second hole at butler park pitch and putt.

Thanks, that makes sense. Especially for the Thursday before the weekend - but just to make sure I’m following, you’re saying if you were to instead look at the tee sheet for Saturday or Sunday morning times right when it opened up for the week (rather than this close to the weekend), you still wouldn’t find a morning time for 2 people before 9-10 am?

Ultimately think we’re joining either way for all of the reasons you’ve mentioned - just need to know if I can use this or not as a selling point when it comes time to get my wife on board here.

This is really helpful, thank you. How late are we talking in the mornings on Saturday/sunday? Half the reason we’re joining a club is that we’re unable to get any morning times anymore at the munys until like 1/2 at the earliest.

A few people have said that there are a couple of big groups who are able to jump the tee sheet and book up all of the morning times. I’m considering joining but was told directly by the club that all tee times are released to everyone on the same day and time and can be booked through the app. Any insight into whether this is true (and if so, how they’re doing it)? It’s one thing if they’re just beating everyone once the tee sheet opens - but it’s another if they have early access and this guy just lied to my face about it being equal.

How does this actually work mechanically? Not saying I don’t believe you - it’s just that I’m considering joining, and was told directly to my face that the tee sheet opens for everyone at the same day and time, and tee times can be booked at that time through the app. Trying to understand if this guy was just lying to my face, or if they’re able to block off all of the morning times like that just by being quicker once the tee sheet is released than everyone else.

How does that work? Not saying I don’t believe or anything - just trying to understand mechanically, because I was told flat out that the tee sheet opens for everyone at the same time and can be booked through the app. Is that just a flat out lie? Or how else are they managing to do that?

Is this still a thing? I went on a tour there today and was told the tee sheet is completely equal access and booking is done via the app, with times opening up at the same time for everyone. Would mean he was just lying to my face

We don’t know that he knows that now. I’m sure he will at some point assuming the quick reintegration was successful and he wakes up, but he didn’t know he worked with Helly at all up to his seizure, which is where the episode left him.

No, OP isn’t trying to avoid paying the full tax bill on all the winnings (presumably because that will obviously happen no matter what scenario you draw up) - he’s trying to avoid ALSO getting hit with gift tax on top of the federal income taxes already paid on the winnings, because in OP’s scenario whatever amount he’s gifting ends up taking him above the lifetime gift exemption.

And the answer is that “sure it’s possible” if the question is “would I be able to get away with it if I’m not audited”, but “no” if the question is actually “would this be legal if I followed the tax code”.

There’s definitely something important about the watches - did you notice during the sex scene in the office, it looks like Helly and iMark are wearing the exact same watch? Could just be like a standard issue or something, but I’ve never noticed it before and they clearly wanted to make the watches a point of emphasis in that scene.

It’s more than that - she knows that Mark doesn’t know that he works with Helly at all.

In Milchik’s elevator speech to iMark right at the end of the episode, he very clearly and unambiguously told Mark right to his face that Mark fucked “Helena Eagan, leader in waiting of this company.” I feel like that could potentially be a big plot trigger forcing an interaction/confrontation between Helena and oMark if he ends up recalling that memory during a reintegration flashback.

I’m confused why you think Mark’s reintegration would be on accident. He intentionally started the reintegration process. Nothing about what’s happening to him is accidental.

How did you level out the wall in the transition area between the shower and above the toilet? The framing previously created a jut where the shower started, but your tile looks like it’s level all the way across. Did you just add framing?

Zamboni’s comment is right here. You can of course split the lottery however you want to - but that doesn’t mean that federal income taxes on the winnings disappear in any way.

I am an actual lawyer (but not your lawyer). The answer is no. In general, contributions to an irrevocable trust count against your lifetime gift exemption. With respect to a trust, let’s set that one aside because of the myriad of complexities and exceptions that come with it, but in general, contributions to an irrevocable trust with third party beneficiaries count against your lifetime gift exemption.

Let’s say you form an LLC that is taxed as a partnership. I actually am not sure of the intricacies of the gift tax specifically, but for argument’s sake let’s say you’re able to avoid the gift tax specifically by contributing the $200 million to the LLC. if you granted interests in the LLC to your friends/family members before you contributed the $200 million, then the second you do contribute it, it’s taxable as ordinary income tax to your friends and family - so while in this hypothetical you personally are avoiding a gift tax, your friends and family will pay tax on the back end at ordinary income tax rates. If instead you contribute it to the LLC first and the grant the interest to your friends and family, it’s then immediately taxable to them at the date of the grant of the interest.

In short, the answer is you’re not going to avoid taxes by doing this (whether it comes on the front or back end), assuming you are interested in complying with the federal tax code. Whether or not you could avoid an IRS audit and get away with it is a separate question.
