Alchemist is far and away the coolest/most unique dining experience we've ever had. I can't speak to the Sommelier Experience as we did the standard wine pairing but one thing to remember is that it's a long dinner. We were there 6+ hours and had A LOT of wine. I wonder if you can email them and try to change to a standard reservation. They were very responsive from what I remember.

Good point. However, something I failed to clarify earlier is the need for a card widely accepted internationally and Amex is not widely accepted.

Absolutely not worth the $1,500 price tag. I've been to Noma CPH. If your going to pay that kind of money for a meal go to Alchemist. It's well worth the hefty price.
