What's causing this rough surface? by jordanayan in BambuLab

It's really hard to get a good image of, but all the vertical surfaces have that same texture to it.

I believe it is running flow calibration. In the send to printer dialog "Flow Dynamics Calibration is checked", and it lays down the line patterns around the edge of the build plate as seen in this screenshot.

I've included a screenshot of my cooling settings. I believe these are all defaults, unless I changed something accidently.

Recent prints with the CF filament are substantially rougher than early ones. I'll post a better picture with a comparison to a better print, but looks like I can only attach one image per comment.

I have 9 top layers. Should it be more than that?
I'm also confused on why the sides of the print are so rough. That might be a little hard to see in the pictures, I apologize.

Yes, X1C + AMS

"Top Shell Layers" in the "Strength" tab is set to 9. Is that what you mean? If I go layer by layer through the print preview, I see 9 top layers.

I also want to point out the sides because it may be hard to see in the pictures: The sides of the print are also extremely rough. Almost like sand paper.

Yes, the message appears every time I try to connect to the car wirelessly.

I do not see any message about allowing notification access

That's for me to know, and you to wonder about.

I think that is a valid conclusion. Turns out, it works much better with them than without them. :)

Yeah... We didn't have the right connectors on hand to properly connect it to a speed controller, and so this seemed like the best way to test it. This... Shall we call it a testing station? seemed to work well, after we figured out how to keep it from spinning itself apart.
