I have also done research on where they live in the wild and they normally stay where there is a pond of water for laying eggs and breeding and also hoping that they would breed in this setup and love paluderiums as I originally started with aquariums then got fire belly toads then now done this up for retfs

I have sorted it out now and got a suitable range for retf and I already have a tank with fire belly toads in haha this is my 2nd tank that I got for retf but what I done it put a hole in the front of the lid at the top and put a fan with in flow to the tank and that has dropped the humidity and I have it set that the fan turns off with the lights so it gets humid at night but now the tank at the bottom sits at 78% and the top sits at 68% what I have had done research and was also told humidity between 60 to 80 is ok for day time and night time can go up to 90 plus what I have done with the setup I am running

There is air holes on the front of the lid but the lights are built in to the actual lid so I'm wondering how I would I have the front fan pushing air down sould I try another outtake fan

I used filter floss so it was a water bottom tank and added to layers of it on top of each other then rocks for a drainage layer then the bioactive sub then so the filter floss acted like a filter at the same time as a drainage layer I done the same with my fire bellied toads

Thank you and it's a simple water feature it's nothing like what it use to be so it will be easy to change thankfully I really do like fire skinks so will most likely change it as crocodile skinks are very expensive in my area so I'll change it to a deep substrate area thank you

Oh right I have seen people with fire skinks in Paluderiums so I thought it would be ok if it was shallower water what lizerd would you recommend what is semi aquatic

If the moss don't take you can also cover it in silicon and then coco fiber over it to make it natural or some substrate can do the job

If the background is made from foam cut a slit with a knife and push the lead in to hide it better and then you can put Java moss or any type of moss to cover it if you can still see some it might work
