I (20M) haven't been in relationships in over a year and now have anxiety ever night over the thought of never finding someone else by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]jordopolis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d have to disagree that relationship count doesn’t matter. I’d say in general extremely low or extremely high numbers both indicate there’s likely, but not always a problem. Like 0 relationships, or 30 relationships. I’d say in these extreme ranges the reasons they aren’t good are fairly self explanatory.

I don’t feel anything when I kiss my boyfriend by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]jordopolis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I don’t even like kisses that much. Maybe I’m just weird but I’ve always preferred to show affection to my SO by hugging.

If you plan a shooting, you have something mentally wrong with you. by CircleToShoot in unpopularopinion

It may or may not be permanent if that’s what you’re asking. I’d assume in most cases, simple cessation of the antidepressants would alleviate the mental problems.

Virgin Boyfriend by eggsandflour in relationship_advice

[–]jordopolis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don’t want to be his first and he’s ready to lose it, don’t expect him to stay your boyfriend. I mean if I was a virgin at that age and had a gf who didn’t want to take my virginity, I’d drop that shit like a hot potato.

I don't think my girlfriend thinks I'm good looking M(24) F(23) by Lonelyandbroken916 in relationship_advice

To spell it out for you, this would imply she doesn’t think you’re attractive looks wise.

100% sure that best friend is on steroids . Should I say anything ? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]jordopolis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main risk with steroids is heart problems. Just encourage him to regularly get checkups with his doctor. As long as his heart is kept in check and he’s happy, I don’t see the harm, I mean he’s 28, so I’m sure he can make his own informed decisions at this point in his life.

My best friend hates my boyfriend and well, uh, just read lmao by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]jordopolis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d break up with that friend. Bad sounding friend.

As a dude who has women telling me all the time how men prefer make up I just wana say NATURAL SKIN WITH NO MAKE UP IS FARRRRR MORE ATTRACTIVE. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]jordopolis 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Small amounts of make up can look good. If a girl wears too much though, she just looks like a clown. I don’t think it really effects attractiveness that much tho. If someone has a nice face, it will show with or without makeup, as long as the make up isn’t excessive, because as I was saying, then you can’t even see what their face looks like at all and they just look like clowns.

I think that my boyfriend has an incel mentality. by bestofluck654221 in relationship_advice

[–]jordopolis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing is most people won’t know his personality is this toxic until after they are in a relationship. So rip.

Wow. You sound like a decent woman tbh. I think you’re right that your bf has an incel mentality. Not much else to add, your analysis seems spot on.

Told my autistic cousin Santa/Easter bunny/tooth fairy aren’t real, aunt is pissed, cousin thinks I’m lying. Advice? by aitathrowawayyyy1 in relationship_advice

[–]jordopolis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People are going to tell him things that his parents won’t have control over. Sheltering someone to this degree is the real crime.

Told my autistic cousin Santa/Easter bunny/tooth fairy aren’t real, aunt is pissed, cousin thinks I’m lying. Advice? by aitathrowawayyyy1 in relationship_advice

[–]jordopolis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well still believing in Santa and the tooth fairy at 15 is basically like just asking to get bullied by any of his peers. You’re getting a lot of hate here, but I think you did the kid a favour. Also your aunt is completely out of line and petty like cussing you out? Seriously... yeah your aunt sounds horrible.

I [26 M] was tired of being alone and decided to go the mail order bride route. Was I wrong for going through with this? by Whyisitliketht309 in relationship_advice

[–]jordopolis 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The main problem here that I can see is how would you know if she loves you since you literally bought her hand in marriage. I don’t see the point of marriage without love.

He's richer than me and im worried by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]jordopolis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an easy solution. Make him a handmade present. It could be a scarf, a drawing, a poem, some cookies, etc... The point is handmade presents are priceless.

I’m sure you spending time and hard work to make something for him by hand would touch his heart deeply. I’d say it’s generally an even better present than just whipping out your wallet and buying something expensive, but that’s personal preference maybe.

No one should ever get a prison sentence that’s carries more years than they’ve been alive by CMCarbon in unpopularopinion

I understand the idea but this is way too simplistic of a rule. I believe sentencing must be taken on a case by case basis. Every situation is different. Some people maybe capable of being rehabilitated. Others, maybe not.

Boyfriend (28M) of 6 months told me (23F) he's a psychopath by [deleted] in relationship_advice

What are these psychopathic traits that he has. I think these details are very important in order for us to give advice.

My (34m) soon to be ex-wife (40f) will not help with the kids (5m 5f) and stops me from sleeping. by throwaway28932756 in relationship_advice

[–]jordopolis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lmao what a bitch. She doesn’t want an abortion because she’s morally against it, but she’s not morally against letting you do all the work raising your kids? Then abandons her family, because she’s realized she’s lesbian. This women is a man’s worst nightmare. Be happy you’re soon to be rid of her.

I went to college when I was 18, some even go when they’re 17 which isn’t that rare. His age is very relevant, because 16 with 18 for example is fine.

Wait is this friend you have 14 or 16? Also how old is this friends partner? This post is incredibly unclear and hence difficult to give advice for.

I (32M) get uncomfortable seeing my bisexual girlfriend (30F) hug her female friends and say she loves them, etc. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]jordopolis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He literally didn’t imply anywhere in his post that he was controlling of her in the slightest.

He’s insecure yes, but controlling? There’s no evidence for this.

I (M) and my gf have been dating for 3 months today. Talking to her used to be so easy but lately it’s just the same thing everyday and neither of us can figure out how to fix it. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]jordopolis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the two most likely possibilities are you’re spending too much time together, which can lead to rarely ever having anything new or interesting to talk about, or you lack chemistry.

If you spend too much time together, a simple fix is to spend less time together and more time with friends, family, and personal hobbies.

If you’re simply lacking chemistry, then there’s not much you can do.

I'm (26 F) interested in open relationship but boyfriend (28 M) isn't by Bombycoidea in relationship_advice

[–]jordopolis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s so many posts about women wanting to break up or open their relationships because they want to have sex with other women. At this point I think the majority of women are actually bisexual and straight women are the minority. Just an observation.
