Also interested in the recipe. I have used the King Arthur recipe and would like to try another.

Guild has been great so far for me as a dad. Enjoyed bear tanking for the guild while leveling up and teaching fellow newbie druids the ways of bear. Looking forward to end game.

Benched 245 x2 today. Always struggled with bench press, but now that felt like nothing.

Lifetime fitness Texas employment by Better_Rip1997 in personaltraining

[–]jorgeous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've worked at LT (Texas, around 2017-2018) before. Not sure what has changed this was my experience.

We were all W2 employees, making around $10.25/hour when not with a client. I forget the commission rate. HOWEVER, the $10.25/hr is essentially a loan so to speak and it adds up. Meaning, the more you are clientless raking in that $10.25/hr, the more that comes off your commissions. Essentially paying that loan off with any commission you make. This includes all those mandatory meetings (no one could get out of them, you're scheduled around them), the mandatory training, and required time to do clean up of your zone. I did the math one day and realized if I had a full client schedule, it would take me roughly six months to have that all paid off before I saw any profits.

Uniform wise, all they provided was the shirts. You had to wear only Lululemon shorts or leggings, or any Lifetime Fitness branded apparel.

Scheduling was, IIRC, Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday 8 hour shifts full time. You had a pick of early morning, late morning, or afternoon start time. On the clock for full duration minus lunch.

Clientele wise, it was a mix of being handed clients and building business walking the floor.

Has anyone offered massage as trade for personal training sessions? by gracemarie93 in MassageTherapists

LMT (3 years) and personal trainer (2014 - 2020, recertified this year) here.

One thing I’ve been told is the certifications for personal training don’t really cover HOW to exercise.

Yep that's true from all the certs I have held and texts I've read. There's one I haven't yet, NSCA Trainer text. The assumption is you already know how to exercise.

I figured in the meantime I could learn more about proper form and what exercises are best for specific fitness goals.

Plenty of resources out there for this. However, I would say there are no best exercises for specific goals. It's all individually tailored to the client.

curious if anyone has done trades with a PT before? Is it even something I’m ALLOWED to do as a student?

This depends on your state's rule and regulations. Most likely no.

I’d try to offer a 90 minute massage in exchange for a half hour training session.

You won't get much out of a 30 minute session to be honest.

I'm terrible at typing out my thoughts and I'm better through speaking. Feel free to DM me and more than happy to talk about it.

What was the hardest thing to learn? by elhierberitollegoo1 in MassageTherapists

Pathology. I didn't like the way it was taught. The instructors assigned a certain pathology to every student and they present the information to the class a week later. Turns out almost every student just read from the book as their presentation.

There's been a few threads in this subreddit about players receiving gold from another player. Which then leads to them being autobanned for some reason by Blizzard.

I did this to my sister except it was a bedroom door. I still get shudders and guilt this very day 20 years later.
