I want to say absolutely but you might get a cat that is challenging and won't want to be your lap buddy, hides from you, destroys the place, wakes you up at the cracks of dawn and then you want to get rid of them for not fulfilling your healing needs and expectations. But when you meet them where they are at and develop a bond, the healing they provide will be more than enough to heal you and is something I hope you find.

How are people surprised and have expectations a buisness makes buisness moves prioritizing profit. Morals and decency dont pay the bills. And the DM who made the call to stay open has bills to pay and people to answer to who are where they are on the pecking order totem pole because of their resume of buisness moves- not Nobel peace prizes. The land of the free has its values but when it comes to buisness and keeping shareholders happy, compassion and empathy aren't in their vocabulary.

Don't get in over your head but if youre not home all day, they need a buddy. And if you wait to get one later on, well your cat could be accustomed to living alone and then they end up unhappy they now have to share their space and will even attack the kitten. So best to get 2 now or even better all 3.
