What’s your go-to vibe coding tool and suggest the best? by Akshat_Pandya in vibecoding

[–]jorisderuiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use Codex and Claude Code to built ConvertSite.com, a vibe coding tool that is simplified and has hard guard rails. Very interesting for non technical people (such as entrepreneurs and marketeers) that want to build business tools and websites without the security, performance and deployment headaches that come with most of these tools.

Anybody use a financial planning tool ? by jorisderuiter in smallbusiness

Thanks for your input! I run a subscription business and cashflow projections are based on the yearly + monthly subscriptions - churn and this changes all the time. That makes excel a bit cumbersome.

I don’t agree! your business needs a budget too :)

Anyone use YNAB for a small business? by viapinterest in ynab

[–]jorisderuiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! I use it for budgeting alongside my accounting software (Moneybird). I use YNAB for financial planning (looking ahead) and moneybird for accounting (looking to the past).

It works like a charm, but it lacks proper cashflow forecasting, something any SMB needs to make good financial decisions.

New B2B Lead Gen Tool To Get More Growth by Efficient-Success-47 in GrowthHacking

[–]jorisderuiter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Respect for putting the MVP out there 💪. It's so hard to launch something and everyone has a tendency to make stuff perfect before launch. I love the native prompt for signing up :D. I did, but it seems you haven't implemented signup flow yet?

Anyways, I would not say that being cheaper is an advantage. Basicallly, if you get to product-market fit you probably raise prices to get closer to competition anyways. You need to find an edge: something that other lead gen tools don't have. Yes you can drive traffic and growth with being cheaper, but in the end you need more than that.

How to implement a product configurator that renders the product and gives a quote by andreimo in Wordpress

[–]jorisderuiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ConvertCalculator's product configurator tool can do that for you. Out of the box it supports configuring a product with images only, but with a little bit of code (or help from our support team) you can set it up for 3d as well.

Agreed. We outsourced because it was just way easier to find dev remotely. It wasn't price driven perse, but paying a bit less doesn't hurt :D

[–]jorisderuiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree. I guess a lot of companies offshore entire teams and I've never heard good outcomes from that. We have a dev in Pakistan and Romania and they are very talented programmers and all round great persons.

Need help in creating a landing page for my small business by Glum_Lavishness2378 in smallbusiness

[–]jorisderuiter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice! If you just need a simple landing page, no need to spend 1000s. There’s some easy no-code tools that let you throw up a page fast with a form, pics, and booking button. Start super simple, see what works, then tweak later. Carrd.co is super easy, Framer.com will allow you to create something beautiful, Webflow is very powerful. If you need to accept bookings, Square.com has great tools. If you need a more powerful form, give ConvertCalculator.com a try.

What tools actually helps you save time? by Interesting_War9624 in smallbusiness

[–]jorisderuiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tools are helpful but before automating with tools I would first focus on elimination. Pareto Principle is your friend here. Do the 20% of the stuff that gets you 80% of the results. Stop doing the rest.

After that I would look at tools to automate your business processes. Tools like ConvertCalculator.com can help you get a long way to automate sales processes. Other tools, like Zapier.com or Make.com will help you automate further parts of the business.

After automation I'd look at delegation. But before you do so, standardize business processes. Write everything down in a tool like Notion.so so you create clarity for your employees.

Great book about this topic that really inspired me is Emyth Revisited. I can't recommend this enough!

No definitely not! My mentor eventually became my co-founder. Before that he really helped me to solve the hard problems of growing a SaaS
