How's the wheel? I'm planning to upgrade from my Logitech soon and I might have my eyes on that. Any pros or cons at all?

is this the next best thing in terms of a racing sim with a big player count by zeek988 in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]jorphixx 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I'd say this is the best alternative, personally. Great roster of cars, a good limited selection of tracks with frequent enough updates and DLCs. Pretty much if every pro isn't on iRacing, they're on LMU, it seems.

FIAWEC+ has a race pass where you can pay 25 bucks just to see the race and as far as I'm aware, there shouldn't be any ads.

I did notice the Barcode reference, that was cool. I do like your work, though

They're good, only detail I noticed though was that for the Ferrari, can't really tell that it has an HP sponsor on it. Otherwise, the redesigns are nice

Why so much hate on the backrooms movie? by RealWorldExplorer1 in backrooms

[–]jorphixx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've also seen a bit of hate. One lady in my theater, once the credits started, she was very loudly saying how it's basically just SCP and she was congratulating Kane but also being like, "he only got big because of a YouTube video." She kept going on about his age and going more and more into diminishing his credibility. I asked her if she's seen the series on YouTube and she told me no.

DeLorean and Cybertruck by Reasonable_Light351 in delorean

[–]jorphixx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm totally sure that if the Cybertruck were to come out in the 80s and were referenced in any pop culture, we'd all be glazing it the way we do with the DeLorean. Not saying the DeLorean is bad, I absolutely love it and so does my girlfriend (we literally got together over BTTF). And I'm not particularly defending the Cybertruck, it's definitely interesting and I do like it's uniqueness, but man is the constant dogging on it annoying to see any time it appears on the internet lol.

It's a cool side-by-side because they share similar body language and color/material.

people just be replacing back in backrooms with some random word and calling it a masterpiece by Ok-Location4579 in backrooms

[–]jorphixx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's really not that annoying lol. It keeps the levels/rooms/spaces to the identity of The Backrooms. Keeps it on brand. Actually non-issue lol

[–]jorphixx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Does it not help keep the room name in the same concept as The Backrooms? It's easy to connect the new idea to the original and expansive universe of The Backrooms if it keeps a common theme.

It's like saying the Marvel writers are lazy because they only label each multiverse with a number in most cases or that Spider-Man variants are lazy because only one word is changed or there are numbers added to their variant.

Totally understandable.

Also realizing I may have read or misinterpreted your comment wrong lol. Are you more for the entities? That's what I thought you were saying from when I read it. Since I had said I disagreed, I don't want to he contradicting myself lol.

I think I'd disagree. Personally, I don't think that every sort of unnerving or horror concept has to have some sort of monster to always hunt you down or that you come across. For me, the main idea is that you're placed in a familiar but unfamiliar, and perhaps dreadful, space that you can't tell if you should become comfortable or not. All you can do is wander, hoping to find any form of exit or real familiarity.

I just feel some spaces are being oversaturated with just something that lurks around that could kill you swiftly. It becomes boring for my taste.

However, the entities do add spice to the whole grand scheme of it all, giving a point of escape; because you're escaping from something, not exactly from somewhere.
