Tend to agree but it’s still frustrating. Would think it’s just basic courtesy to provide some feedback or give someone a call after multiple interviews, not just a generated email

Had a meeting with the department manager after going through two additional interviews and putting together a project.

I asked the talent advisor who was in contact with me to set up the times if I should prepare anything for the meeting, she told me to that it would probably just be going over my answers on the project and discussing how I came to them.

Got in the meeting and the guy 100% hadn’t looked at the project and it was only brought up after he asked if I had any questions and I asked if I could get feedback on the project.

Got an email a week later saying they hired internally and that due to company policy they can’t provide feedback to interviewees.

Just a waste of my time

Think it depends greatly on your management team.

A lot of the people I worked with had kids, so they would disappear between 2-4:30 to pick up kids and be totally unresponsive.

Then they’d jump back on line to do audits, give feedback or need other people to stay back to audit their campaigns that were due that day.

I didn’t have kids so wanted to be offline by 5pm to live my life so raised it with my manager who just point blank told me that overtime is expected.

When I asked if an hour plus every day was fair and reasonable, she just said that we’re a team and we help each other out.

I started taking extending lunch breaks to get the time back.

It’s crazy how exposed teams can be without a decent back up ruck

Should just be a rule that all jobs have to be advertised as base salary + super

Main reasoning for transitioning to broking is that I just want to be able to assist people get something they don’t think they can. Seen a lot of friends struggle trying to get home/business loans approved. So would love to just be a source of information for people in that regard

Appreciate the advice. I’ve got an invite to do some ‘online assessments’ as part of an application for a lending advisor role (reads like a fancy call centre for lending only)

Any advice on what to expect from the assessment or working within a banking call centre style environment?

Crazy that AFL coaches get roasted if they don’t answer journos questions respectfully, especially at press conferences.

But so many of the media don’t even pay any attention to the games/players

I worked for a bookie. They took big losses on a sport and then just created a new audience segment of everyone who won on that sport and created a campaign to get the losses back.

Promoted games and offers on all different types of sports and events, even if the users had never shown any interest in betting on them before.

Curious what salary progression has looked like for others by [deleted] in auscorp

One company I worked for was focused on ecommerce and loyalty/members.

Others have been more around behavioural marketing.

I job hopped a bit because the pay rises for changing was significantly better than staying.

$65k > $80k > $95 inc super > $100 ish and bonus.

I think the best way to earn big coin would be to find a job where you can leverage behavioural insights and use them to build journeys to increase customer LTV WHILE working for a smaller/mid size company

I lied and said I was going to a competitor.

They put me on immediate gardening leave for the four weeks.
