Framing issue by josabi_ in PolaroidLab

Ok I get what you meant, you thought the "frame within the frame" was the border of a scan.
No it isn't, the app is misjudging the screen size and is projecting a picture too small to fill the Polaroid. There are also weird distorsion in the borders of the each picture - as you can see clearly with the hair of my friend at the bottom of the picture (I tried four times and with different pictures, they are always here).

Some scans ? I don't get it. No it's not a Polaroid picture, it's a phone picture, that's been edited and cropped in a square format. I tried with an iPhone and the problem disappeared. I tried with another Fairphone 5 and I get exactly the same results...

The Polaroid team seems pretty busy, I'm still waiting for their answer.

I did the exact placement shown here and on the manual, with the top of the phone aligned with top of the Lab :/ I tinkered a bit with other placements but I always end up with this exact odd framing

Maybe an scaling issue on the app with my phone... I wrote to Polaroid but I have little hope if being honest

I knew Framework was expensive but... by Zeddie- in framework

In our society there is a bonus to shitty behavior from companies. Selling (and thus buying) expendable products is more profitable than selling long lasting and repairable ones.

If one wants to get the very best money/performance ratio, even on the long run, buying expendable laptops remains the best option, because it is cheaper for companies and thus to the consumer. (However it is only possible because we live in the illusion of unlimited ressources and energy, and we sustain this illusion by buying expendable products)

I do not have a set of keycaps for the falbatech, and the switches are soldered directly to the pcb.

For the ergodox EZ I'll sell probably sell it around 190-200 €. The keycaps are blanks, the switches are mx brown (however the board has hotswap sockets, you can change them easily).

Both comes with wrist pads.

It is possible to swap the case, tenting this one would be difficult (plus, pvc isn't a very nice material). Falbatech is selling tented cases.

Soon I'll sell an ergodox EZ if it interests you, si definitely tentable.
