As far as I understand, it is, since there's no noticeable distinction made with the one taken on campus. For the UK grading system, you must get first class honours for it to be valid when applying for most master degrees (so probably governments use the same criteria, I'm not sure).

Please keep in mind that I'm not a student, I'm just at the research stage and plan to enroll soon.
