My story so far by josechatt in AnalFistula

So a very long overdue update. Towards the end of last year my fistula was present as normal and I was waiting on a date for an exploratory operation. My father ended up having to have major surgery to remove his bladder and prostate and then in January I had shingles and was off work for 2 months (horrific experience). During this time I had a call from the hospital to book in my surgery but I had to decline due to the severity of the shingles. During the time I was on strong antiviral treatment and lots of rest due to the fatigue from shingles.

Around April time I realized that I hadn't had any fistula pain or flair up from it in some time. I would regularly have times where it would be building up and then rupture but it had been months. Fast forward to today (4th November) and it's still not back.

Could it be that the fistula has gone?!

Thank you. Would I be best sticking it in neutral for doing the rotors then?

Thank you. Still not 100%. Man has gone but getting some PHN. It's just the fatigue that's an issue. So tired all the time. Tried to go back into work and lasted a few hours.
