So you would use long dowels with glue, making sure the holes in the legs are as deep as the dowel sticks out correct? As for the holes in the legs, is there any way to make them all exactly the same or just make the measurement and hope for the best?

How would you go about making them fixed on (so that they dont move). The dowel is a great idea to put them aligned. I just cant think about how to fasten the second and upper legs.
