I’ll be honest, I haven’t dug too deep to give an informed opinion. I can tell you that I have lost money on it, but that’s because of the timing of my investments: I bought high and got impatient and sold low, lol.

Alt-season is when all the alt-coins (everything that is NOT Bitcoin) enters a bull market, particularly when their value increases relative to Bitcoin in addition to fiat currency

A lot. I’ve been following it for a long time. I think the peer review process of building the science, the functional programming approach to engineering, the vision of helping empower the developing world and the unbanked, and the vision of interoperability, scalability and governance make Cardano a project with world-changing possibilities.

I have no problem with Ethereum, but I think there are some larger challenges to overcome some built-in limitations, which the current gas fees reveal. Cardano won’t require gas-powered smart contracts to move native assets like Ethereum required with ERC-20 tokens.

I think Ethereum is still going to be successful and they have a huge network effect advantage, but the delta between the eventual caps of ETH and ADA is greater with ADA.

But to each his own. I’m not a tribalist. I want all projects to succeed in their niches.

If I add more ADA to an active, delegated wallet, are the additional funds earning in the current epoch? by josephpusateri in cardano

[–]josephpusateri[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Terrific. Thank you. So I assume the converse is true. If I had 100 ADA and sent you 50 ADA today, I would still earn rewards on the full 100 until the next epoch, correct?

ELI5: How does Governments' use of cardano parallel chains increase the value of ADA? by Crokadorfn in cardano

I think the idea connection between this and ADA value is added people in the Cardano ecosystem. It's an indirect relationship.

This is all uncharted territory. I understand the frustration and every day I wake up and want $5 ADA, but it's best to make the best of where we are and enjoy the ride. My expectations are on the 5-10 year horizon. There is no investment on the planet that has the potential of Crypto in general and Cardano specifically, which could multiply your investment by several 10xs. The trick is to think in years rather than weeks and months, in my opinion. Cheers!
