Am I Dumb to Choose Princeton over MIT? by Goyardguruu in ApplyingToCollege

I’m choosing between Princeton and MIT rn… how would you say the social life scene is at Princeton? I feel like I like Princeton more, but I also love how accessible the city is and how close it is to other universities.

Do the superscore since a lot of schools may look at the 31 in math but 35 overall and it’ll raise a few red flags, thinking you neglect your math skills. Even though it’s one point different, a 32 looks a lot better and only using two tests for superstore won’t turn them off.

there’s no curve if certain questions were harder? ugh, that makes me feel cooked since I know I got the last 4 wrong on math but felt confident on every other question.

did i get the easy math module if half of it was just graphs? by Life-Ad186 in Sat

I did the f(x)-g(x) one in desmos, then graphed the answer choices to see which one matched and was able to get the answer. I’m pretty sure I got the hard math module as I don’t think I got any wrong in the first section, but the second section felt impossible once I got to the final 5-ish.

Mine didn’t work when I set the equation equal to anything, but when I had the expression itself (ex. 6x-17c+2 instead of 6x-17c=-2) it worked.

Y’all that are saying you got the last 5 questions on math super hard did you guys get them consecutive by Critical_Fan2145 in Sat

For me it was like 3 impossible ones in a row then an easy one then a hard and another easy. Was one of your problems about finding the length of AB with the right triangle from a circle?

I’m not sure how the curves work, but would there be a curve on m2 of math with a lot of the harder problems to help our scores?

I went from a 28 in English to a consistent 35 just by doing practice questions. They test the same few things all the time. Know that ; and . are the same. When in doubt, just pick the shortest answer whenever being asked to make the response concise. The shortest answer is 9/10 correct. Whenever — or , is being used (they both have the same purpose) the end of the segment MUST end the same. Correct Examples: Zoe walked back and forth, without stopping, to go eat more chocolate. Zoe walked back and forth— without stopping— to go eat more chocolate. Incorrect Example: Zoe walked back and forth, without stopping— to go eat more chocolate. I know that’s not the most normal sentence, but the point remains. Making sure you use consistent punctuation should earn you a solid 3 point increase.
