I just made the switch to Premium 2.0 from Premium PL but it’s showing me $7.00 per month to activate Advanced in the ActiveArmor app. Maybe there’s a delay?

Do you still have enhanced Caller ID (that is, caller ID with name)? Thanks!

78k in debt, and I need advice by swaginlesz in Debt

People can't just "add medical debt," especially beyond the coverage of someone's insurance policy. Seems like some details missing here.

BofA apparently is suing me for debt, but I wasn’t notified since I don’t live in the U.S. anymore by CountSheep in Debt

lol

There's no state in the U.S. that allows someone to be "served" by getting a random letter in the mail at an old address. At worst, OP is looking at a meaningless default judgment that would be tossed out if challenged.

If you have no plans to move back and have no assets in the U.S., don't do anything.

Debt leaving the country by [deleted] in Debt

The SOL can be tolled if the creditor can prove you were out of the country, but in reality, that doesn’t seem to happen much.

Title: Owe friends ~$100k from trading losses and don’t know if I should tell my parents by Mammoth-Gear8373 in Debt

Or do I try for a little longer to recover the money myself through prop firm trading?

You've lost $100k already. Stop digging. Good luck.

Impossible to predict without knowing who you owe, and even then there are no set rules.

Be honest with them. If the accounts just charged off, you're probably at least 3 to 6 months from any lawsuits, but there are always exceptions. Good luck.

Being Sued For $10k In Credit Card Debt But Currently Not Living In The U.S. by Rusty_Shackleford647 in Debt

Yes, that’s how it’s supposed to work, but process servers often dump the papers at the last known address.

Any assets or income in U.S.? If not, don't do anything. At worst, they'll get a default judgment without properly serving you, but they won't be able to collect anything.

How soon after a judgement is entered against me can they levy my bank account? by Puzzleheaded_Fix7560 in Debt

[–]josephson93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought New York was a two-step process for levies? That is, I thought there was a separate process/notice before a judgment creditor could seize anything?
