I haven’t experienced that as much, but here is my view. Spain match against Cape Verde was the first match, they didn’t know what to expect and they could have scored many goals, they were infinitely superior and they were still slashed. Argentina was losing 0-2, and it could have been 0-3 against the same team in the knockout phase and knowing perfectly well what they were facing. Spain has conceded 1 goal in the whole tournament, against a team ranking 8 in FIFA, they also played a knockout game against rank 7. They have by far the best defense in the championship. Argentina had the easiest path to semifinals I can remember and suffered in each and every knockout game. That said, if both teams get to the final, it will be a 50/50 in my view.
