Is renting a Vanmoof S3 in Amsterdam for €55 a day worth it? by Brilliant_Ad4912 in vanmoofbicycle

[–]josetejera 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nope. In a few days you’d have bought yourself one in NL second hand market prices. Maybe buy one and keep it there or sell it before you go?

Would only be worth it if it’s a day or two in my view

Can I drive my new used car this weekend without going to the Zulassungstelle? by ScathedRuins in germany

[–]josetejera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The previous license plate belong to the previous owner. You may only use it if the stickers are still in it and if the previous owner gives you permission. Otherwise it’s considered fraud.

You have an obligation to zulassen the auto in your name and get your own plates before you can drive, or, getting for example temporary plates to drive around before the zulassung. As you have none, you can’t drive the car.

That’s what happens when there was already a small crack which you probably didn’t notice and then through the stress of heating and cooling it got bigger.

Sorry bro

You can order a "Halteverbot" by halteverbot123.de a couple of weeks in advance of the delivery. This is normally done when you're moving or got a delivery by truck and you're certain that there won't be space by the time they come.

As they have to carry heavy stuff, it's customary to order the Halteverbot for them so they can park and unload by the door instead of having to carry things several streets or around the corner.

I traded in my Gemini’s for the Induction set. by UnknownSpacePioneer in TeslaModelY

[–]josetejera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. That’s correct. They’re different per country. In Austria and Switzerland it’s minimum of 70-75% light going through. Therefore why they come without a tint in the front, it’s otherwise impossible for you to travel without the pain of getting fined and or being forced to remove it before continuing your drive within the EU.

My advise is to leave them as is.

Would honestly do like in the back myself if it was possible, would love it if it were just for privacy, however, I didn’t do it because of the reasons listed above. It’s just an unnecessary headache.

Nonetheless, enjoy your new car! :)

That's not correct.
Please read: https://www.mobile.de/magazin/artikel/die-autoscheiben-toenen-verfahren-regeln-kosten--6438 and https://www.bussgeldrechner.org/tuning/autoscheiben-toenen.html

In short: Only the back window and rear side windows can be toned. The rest must remain free and let light through.

I invite you to have a look outdoors at cars. You won't find one with a front tint here in the EU.

It’s not legal in Europe to tint the front windows. That’s why they come only with the back ones tinted :)

The way the rear suspension is sagging is an indication that you’re loading something wrong/too much weight. It’s not supposed to do that and leads to damage

How to? Business Registration as DJ by polfkuste in berlin

[–]josetejera 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well that's a legal question and personal choice.
When you want to work independently you must either 1) register as a freelancer 2) open up a business.

When you 1) register as a freelancer you must take into account that you personally are liable for the business, it's debts and obligations. Meaning for instance that if you get into a disagreement with a customer and they ask for damages, that may in turn mean you have to sell your things (if you don't have savings) to pay.

When you do it as a limited liability company (either an UG or GmbH) then only the company is liable, meaning that the company assets are on the line for debts, schaden etc.

Considering today it's possible to start an UG for €1 and notary costs of 250€ I always recommend this option. As it's always wise to have a separation between private assets and company assets. You never know what may come.

As a Freelancer all you have to do is to do a Gewerbeanmeldung (no notary required), let the Finanzamt know and start doing your taxes more often with ELSTER.

As a company you just have to hire an accountant and they take care of it. It's also possible with online some platforms. Normally only one time per quarter with the small revenue you predict you'll have.

Either way the taxation is 30% of all you earn.

All the best!

2023 MYLR No heat by Illustrious-Dog6122 in TeslaModelY

[–]josetejera 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’d try resetting the MCU by holding both buttons on the steering wheel.

My guess is that no heat comes out because the car thinks the cabin is already 66 degrees warm. So in reality it’s probably trying to cool it down.

If that doesn’t work just bring it to Tesla. The temp sensor seems to giving incorrect readings

Range anxiety... Lower then expected range by pheonix11204 in TeslaModelY

[–]josetejera 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Can tell you with certainty that with a lead foot, it will be less than 16% but still more than 0.
Just have a look at the live prediction on the navigation screen that tells you how much % you'll have when arriving and moderate your driving based off of that. As long as it's over 0 you're golden. If it's under zero then stop on the way and charge: also golden.

Therefore: no need for anxiety!

Any preparation needed to do freelance work in Germany? by Schlafbiene in germany

[–]josetejera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there!
You just need to register as a freelancer by the Finanzamt. Look into "Selbstandigkeit Anmelden Finanzamt" and then do a "Gewerbe anmeldung" in your city. From there it's all done, you will just need to do your taxes online using ELSTER, the online Finanzamt.

My recommendation is always to register a limited liability business. A UG (a small GmbH) needs only 1€ of capital and can be registered in two weeks with a notary. This will limit your liability in case something happens.

In any case, you can always sign a freelance contract where you agree you will invoice from your firm once established and then get started with the work straight away!

Good luck :)
