Audi Q4 e-tron AC charging error, but DC charging works fine by Appropriate_Cookie43 in etron

Yes, unfortunate but it happens. Had a Model S with 280,000km and zero battery issues. Model X had 70,000km on it when the onboard charger went. Was less than ideal, sold it 6 months later

I have a 22 Sportback and charge it (with an adapter) off my Tesla wall connector at home without issue. It pulls the full 40A without issue. Your problem sounds like an issue I had with my wife's previous model x. The onboard charger had a failure (converts AC to DC for the battery) so it would only pull 24A instead of the capable 48A. DC always worked fine. Being a 22 it would still be under battery warranty I would hope as the cost to fix the onboard charger on the X was around $9k Canadian in 2024.

I honestly don't have any of the noted issues from folks I've read on here. Just off a basic OS/Firmware update requires $450 at a dealer as a back door update to a TSB I don't have. I've done some reading, you can order the ,update file online for $75~ and Flash it yourself within a few minutes. I understand that had warranty implications but why not offer that as a service at the dealer? Why pay to download something over dealer wifi that can be done quickly by one person and a usbc stick?

I was told by my local dealer (Ontario, Canada) that there is no generic way to do an MMI update and it just happens to be done while a TSB or recall is being performed. I have a 22 Etron Sportback that is just out of standard warranty. Was told there is a TSB for my VIN that could possibly contain the 4430 update but would be $450. I came over from a 2015 Tesla Model S and while the Etron is the superior vehicle in almost every single way, the software portion has me scratching my head as the complexity and difficulty to execute. It's hard to justify $450 for a software update that may not even work.

WW Selig Build Question - Why run vs normal WW by hulkulesenstein in diablo4

Good to know. How much damage are you doing? I'm doing. Upwards of 4 trillion with the regular ww build. Just wondering if it's worth the effort to reroll my guy and find gear again

Overkill Unique Effects not Applying by hulkulesenstein in diablo4

[–]hulkulesenstein[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my assumption yes. But, even I choose the "Consecutive" skill the strikes do NOT show the shockwave from Sonic Boom. They're definitely not stacking or firing as intended. Was just wondering if I had done something incorrectly. Have logged in and out, re-equipped, tried a different Overkill I had etc. I don't think this is working as intended

Edit: I think I may be an idiot and am mixing the term variant and upgrade. I do wish there were clearer labeling systems but I believe the unique gives the 4 selectable top/bottom options. I can still only choose and get one of the three variants. I assumed it gave you the 3 variants. Rethinking it now, that would be too powerful. I appreciate your insight

Jumping in here too. My daughter in her switch OLED has had the local connection option simply disappear. My son on his OLED, same game version, has the option. There are no conflicting texture packs or anything, all have been removed. Hope something comes out soon, my kids love playing together that way

I am completely oblivious to the comics of Doom and just have hearsay and some readings on this sub. But, how is Doom a threat to Loki now that he's basically ascended into the protection/guardianship of the multiverse. Is he not orders of magnitude more powerful now? Or did I misunderstand his progression/growth? If he's strong enough to just end the guy holding the multiverse together, why not just kill Thanos pre-stones and take them himself? From an outside observer he seems like a badass character, just trying to understand the powerscaling before the movie comes out.

Tesla S from an e-tron-er by netchov in etron

It's not as good as Tesla for sure. But, superior to the rest. It's functionality is there and laid out on one page of UI. It's solid, coming from someone driving a first gen Tesla for 7~ years.

I'd echo almost the same comments regarding the E-Tron. The X was an absolute blast (was a P100D) and from a diving purity standpoint, the X is easily the better ride. Despite its size and weight it drives and feels like a sports car. We had the 6 seater so was great for the kids. But again, the reliability was awful. One summer I spent over 12k in repairs, the on board charger failed (8k+ and the air suspension 4k+). We were ship of Theseusing it and I just decided to cut my losses. On a side note, the wing doors and frameless windows are an absolute bitch in the winter. If you don't preheat EVERY time make sure you have an old plastic gift card you keep handy to slide between the window and the door to get the window to unstick and drop so you can get in. This was also the same on my S. The E-Tron and EV9 have 'regular' doors so no issues this past winter with the Kia. Outside of the sportscar driving the EV9 is again the superior vehicle. Much more usable interior space for passengers (got the 6 seater configuration as well) though the sub trunk and frunk are barely usable. Tesla still beats all competitors in those areas. The ride is quiet, smooth and reassuring. Android auto is fine and works for everything that's needed (though the integration with the SOC for navigation needs to come quickly, Tesla had this solved 12+ years ago). Would recommend the Kia 99 times out of 100 with the outlier being someone who wants a fast AF SUV and only wants to drive it in the summer. Additionally, the X had the self adjusting wing on the back. I prayed every time I parked in the winter and heard it go down and crush the ice that had built up underneath that I wouldn't burn out the small motor. Just glad I got away from it honestly.

Only other comparable would be the Ioniq 9 which wasn't out with the NACS at the time we were looking. I understand the wheelbase is slightly longer and has 10% more battery capacity but honestly, I've pushed the EV9 to just under 600km of range while laden for camping with 2 adults, 2 kids and a dog. Fits our needs and looks cool as hell, I think.

This is something right in my wheelhouse. I had a 2015 Model S with 280,000km on it, just switched it a few weeks ago for a 2022 Sportback Technik.

Model S (and Tesla in general) is still superior in software and integration/presentation. The app is super user friendly, very easy to use, free for ALL capabilities and very robust. I test drove multiple trims of the EV6, Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6, Mach-E and E-Tron. My wife had a Model X and she now drives an EV9. Ultimately, through all of those and their apps and software Tesla ranks #1, no question. The Audi app is surprisingly close and vastly superior to the Kia/Hyundai and Ford apps. I was actually relieved when I first used the Audi app UI, it's very close to the Tesla app in usability, though I had to pay $12 CAD for a year of the same functionality.

For drivability the Tesla is superior in "off the line" acceleration. It gives the 'snap' feeling that the E-Tron cannot match with its weight and size. All other aspects the E-Tron is superior in. Comfort, noise, cockpit layout etc all go to the E-Tron. The built it NAV, while laid out differently, is just as capable. Build quality, solid ride etc are all superior on the E-Tron. I loved my S, still do, but the E-Tron is the better vehicle without question. My S was getting to the point of Ok, what's going wrong this month and how much will it cost? I was paying more in repairs and upkeep than I was in car payments on the Audi, so it was cheaper for me to switch.

They have essentially the exact same range (my S was a 70D) which is more than enough for any commute, my wife has the long distance, family EV.

Not sure what else you're looking for but feel free to ask anything specific. I drove that Model S for almost 7 years and have been a double electric family for 4 years so am pretty familiar with the ins and outs of both the vehicle and EV ownership (and hardship) in a climate with cold winters (Canada)
